The reason I ask is if I were to buy a Bangastang radiator cover and have it painted with silver stripes (that I assume match the Ford silver stripes) will it match the silver stripes on our 40th's? If we had a sample of the Ford stripe we could tell. Anyone know?

Great question...I am subscribing because both my cars have Shelby's silver on them.

I asked the same question when trying to order one. Also, I think there is a width difference on the 40th stripes as my windsheild washers on the hood were well within the stripe prior to the conversion and they are not now. I'm thinking the 40th stripes are narrower.

I am talking with Hendrix at Bangastang about his rad cover and he is fairly sure the satin silver paint is the same. He was able to compare it to the silver stripe on a Shebly GT and said it was the same. I know the stripe is narrower, at least on the bumper because it measures 8 7/8" wide where it meets the grill and Hendrix said the GT500 measures 9 1/2". I think I will ask him for a sample of the satin silver to make sure.
