Who would have thought? Right down the road from me, in the little town of Willcox AZ. Opens in November 2009. Road race, drag strip and ?

Check out the link.

Wow -hope you got some Hawk brake pads for that one. Nice find! I had no idea. It's probably same distance to Firebird as it is to this place but, Firebird is completely flat.

At least it looks similar to a "Willow Springs" etc which, for Arizona is pretty good.

Also has an observatory, RV park, skeet shooting and horses. Gotta love that!

Keep me posted via PM if you go there!

I know the director/owner well. I beleive he is going to offer club track packages. I mentioned Team Shleby, Tucson Mustang Club and others. It will be nice to have a few days of race time. :happy feet:

Can't wait.

I assume there would be some attractive prices for a package. Wilcox isn't exactly the meca of auto racing. The largest contingent of vehicles out there belong to the border patrol. Hope they are successful though. The track seems pretty narrow for real racing.

Well guess what? I just finished a day at the Inde Motorsports Ranch. http://www.indemotorsports.com/
It was a flipping awsome time. I :shift: my butt SGT's but off. Now I know why Carroll says to drive it like you stole it. My SGT,has never been on a roadcourse. I am super hooked. 100+ on straightaways, super turns, on and off camber, flipping a rush. :happy feet: :happy feet:

Took me 30 minutes to calm down after about 6 hard laps. Took 2 or 3 just to get the hang of it. And my car isn't really setup for all out.
They provided safety rundown, lead lap car to follow, nice safe fun, but very fast.
On Dec 6th they are having a Grand opening, (open track). Will let us bring a car, take some laps. If you can, check it out. They have some weekends open for club track days if we can get enough people. Willcox is a small town outside east of Tucson. Great weather, quite a few hotels, track is 10 miles north of town. Used to be Tex Earnhardts ranch. Facilty is nice, people are freindly.

Had to tell my story. :shift: my butt off, and so :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

If anyone is intersted, I can assist with directions or where to stay.

We have a place like this "Autobaun Auto Country Club" here in Chicago.

It's really cool but really $$$$!

Yea we are getting something like that here in PA, called Liberty Bell MotorSports, however at the moment they dont have a plan for a dragstrip :-(

So far in the plans are 4 road tracks, it is plan that 2 tracks can connect to make a big track. Also their will be a Car museum, plus a Camping site.

Not to pricey, if we have at least 30 cars at 100 each for the weekend, we can do it. Well worth it. At least some good track time and not having to wait 4 hours for a pass is really nice. I wasn't sure how I would like this but WOW! Fun fun. They have a few weekends open for a club events. Hard to get any clubs to respond including shelby. Cheap weekend for our area. Even a room meals, and time at the track for a couple hundred bucks, shoot dinner and a movie in the city is close to that. I spend almost 2 times that on an average weekend trip to phoenix. I am going to try and get something in the works.. They are really good people that own and operate the track.
