After one year my dealer finally made arrangements to have my hood stripes replaced due to scratches between the heat extractors and the tip of the hood. They sent the car to their stripe contractor. This is what I got (see pictures), more scratches plus bubbles and a cut.

I showed pictures of the stripes to a TS Member that works in the auto business. He said that they take their cars to Auto Trim Design in Muncy Pa., just east of Williamsport and never had a problem. I talked to my dealer’s service manager and ask him if I could get new stripes and the double sided tape pieces and have my installer do the work, he agreed to my request. I called Auto Trim Design and made an appointment. I got the car back yesterday, the stripes were perfect, not a scratch or bubble to be found and the dealer had already paid the bill. This was the first time that they did a GT500 hood.

wow...I don't know how a company could do that kind of work and send it out the door. If I were the manager, I'd be totally embarrassed giving the car to the customer looking like that. Looks like a high school intern or something did that first stripe job.

Glad to hear you got it fixed by the second shop.

That is terrible work. The manager should not be embarrassed, he should be fired for letting a job like that leave the shop. :headscratch:

Glag to hear her stripes are back to looking perfect. Extra foot work for you, but worth it.

It looks like they installed the Strips without the Top Mask. If they do that then the squeegy is directly on the Vinyl when they squeegy out the Bubbles.
