I think it gets to the point of splitting hairs. There won't be a significant difference in power between any quality brand LT header. Some brands get more of a following because they or their vendors advertise them. Guys on the Corvette forum ask the same question every few months, too. LG pushes his headers there, so a lot of the guys run them. I used Dynatech's Supermaxx system on my Z06 and was happy with the quality, results, and completeness of the kit, so when I decided to install headers on my GT500, I went with Dynatech again. If they hadn't had an application for my car, I would have gone with AR or SW, simply because they, too, offer a true full-length header. Just my thoughts on the matter...

Not trying to high jack the topic but I've been trying to decide which header to go with myself and wondered if any of the brands mention would interfer with the removal of the transmission when it comes time for a clutch swap?
I do all my wrench turing myself and would like to know if any of the full length headers mention would have to be removed in order to remove the trans at a later date before making the purchase. |

Dynatech for me. I bought a set for my Lightning. Because of build quality and they come as a complete system. Best I've ever seen and i will be installing a set on my car. About 40K of very hard trouble free miles and they still look like the day i installed them. Never heard of a single problem from others that bought them either. Installed many sets in cars and trucks. I don't remember any others that i would recommend. Except for Dynatechs. But this is JMO.

Well it's pretty much a dead heat between Kooks and American! So I'm back to square one as those were the two I liked the most (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)
On a side note, I think the used headers are no longer an option as my indecisiveness upset the seller .... (sorry flyboy!) |

My friend has Kooks long tube headers & had the TSB done & didn`t have to remove the headers. |
