I finally got the raw footage I took at the track to convert to the proper format for my video editing software to be of any use.
My new camera uses a goofy format, hence the delay. Anyway, the conversion process made the final product a little grainier, but it's better than nothing for now.

So here's the first video. It's taken in my SGT following Dan in his white 07 SGT.
There is a spec Miata in front of him and a black 07 SGT leading the pack. His name is Bill and he's from Chico. The Fox body Mustang is a fully caged, race prepped car dropping in on our group just to beat up on us for a bit.
The music isn't dubbed into this one. It's just jamming out of the Shaker 500 in my car. ;)
Enjoy!

Ken

p.s. I've got a couple other decent videos on the way.

That is so much fun. I'm looking forward to the next event!

LOL I know you were! You did an awesome job, especially for your first time out.
With some tires and a little more power, you'll be blowing the doors off of just about anything out there.
NASA has an HPDE event November 7-8 at Infineon. We should try to make it to that one!

Loud is good. If it's too loud you're too old, right?

I may be able to make that one. I'll check. I may have to work some late nights to free up the weekends, but it's worth it. :shift:

Great videos.
I've got to get a camera mount for my car. It's too much fun not to have it recorded.

Good call Dan. I think it'd be cool to have a couple of cameras mounted, front to back inside and out!

Dude. Stereo OFF?! Wtf man!
Alright, alright, so it looks like I'm on a Sunday cruise at 100+ MPH. I guess I can see the problem with that.
I'm ready for the instruction my man. I'm tired of HPDE intermediate. I want to RACE.

Honestly, I use the shifter as support for most of the day, because the seats suck so bad.
Once I'm in a harnessed race bucket, I won't feel the need to hang on for dear life at speed.

And suck they do! It sucks to have to try and brace yourself all the time.

I forgot about the old trick though of putting your seat all the way back, yanking on the belt to lock it and then running your seat back up til you can't breathe. Next time!

Yeah, passengers on the track don't really care for the lack of an "OH-S**T" handle. I don't like the seats either, mine will come out eventually. In the meantime http://www.americanm...ck-lapbelt.html
