Well, nobody would buy it from me but here it is on the car lot if anyone is interested. There is about $5k of play and they did NO make ready. It is as it was when I sold it. Even the description is word for word as I wrote it when I was selling the car. Typical dealer.
Now suddenly I do not feel bad at all since I am returning the new truck I bought from them a month ago under the GM buy back plan.

Not lemon law. GM has a buy back program. I think its 60 days that you can return the unit if you decided you cant pay for it

Yup 60 days return policy for any reason with no questions asked. GM says they are so confident that americans will love their products they are offering this return policy on new vehicle purchases. Wife hates the car, return it. Neighbors laughing at your purchase, return it. Stopping at the gas station too much, return it. Getting blown away at every stoplight by a GT500, return it.

Funny thing though is if GM is so confident about their cars then why is this return policy a limited time offer? By that I mean it only applies to cars purchased during a short promotional time period.

Yep. What they said.

If I wasn't trying to get out of a payment I would have never got rid of the SGT. Christie cried like a baby when she handed the keys over but we both agreed it had to be done due to some circumstances that came up.

It's really a great little truck to be honest and if we have to keep it for whatever reason, it will not be a problem. I drove it once and then we parked it since the GM rules are it can't have more than $200 worth of damage. That is pretty much a rock chip.

Stump,

I remember your posts when you added the grill lights and rear wing and how proud you and your wife were of your car.

'Fraid not. That would defeat our goals. Unfortunately the car is gone and I have to watch it go. I just hope it goes to a good home but whatever happens, happens.

It surprises me to see it on the lot. The owner of the lot apparently played a game with us saying he had a buyer for the car on the phone and we went back and forth for about an hour. I thought the car was gone and then a few weeks later the car shows up on his lot. I guess maybe the deal fell through. Too bad, this car has all it's paperwork and everything, or it did when they bought it from me.

#117 is officially gone. I was told it sold last week to an older gentlemen in his 60's who was very excited about the car. I feel it went to a good home. Good luck #117 and to its new owner should he ever find this site. She was loved when it was our car.

Also did the GM buy back today. Took all of about 15 minutes and they took the truck without question!. I was pleasantly surprised! I will say it's the first time I have ever been in a dealership where not one sales person approached you. It was erie and refreshing all at the same time.
