Original owner. Never titled or registered to be driven. Have original Manufacturer's Origin Certificate from FOMOCO.

Mustang Shelby GT500 Cobra Convertible. Only 18 miles; rare 2008 Vista Blue Shelby Cobra GT500 Convertible; shaker 500 watt audio 6 disc CD unique Shelby GT500 badging and Shelby interior; Shelby decklid spoiler; 500 HP, 6 speed manual Tremec transmission; dual overhead cam; factory Ford super charger; dual tuned stainless steel X pipe exhaust; SVT tuned suspension; Brembo front brakes 14" vented disc / caliper; unique aluminum hood with air extractors; DVD based Navigation system; ABS/traction control; Sirius Satelite radio, HID headlamps; White Tape striping; cockpit ambient lighting (six colors); dual front and side mounted air bags; sport bucket seats with Shelby Cobra logo.

Never registered for driving; a true collector ultra garage queen.

All window stickers have never been removed.

Plastic seat covers, Ford Shelby GT500 car cover (never used), key fobs are still in the original sealed wrappers, owner's manuals never opened, plastic floor covers, and plastic trunk carpet cover never removed. Probably the only one in the world in this show room condition.

Navigation system, etc., has never been set up.

This Shelby received national recognition and top billing at the 2009 Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA; was spotlighted in BLDG 'T" indoor display. Was the only 2008 Shelby GT500 Convertible showcased indoors at that Ford National Event. All paraphernalia comes with the car.

Could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a 2008 Shelby in this kind of condition.

The new owner will have the enjoyment and feeling of bringing home a never driven, or set up brand new Shelby GT500 Convertible.

I was able to forgo registering and titling the car in my name because the car was bought out of state at Rusty Eck Ford, KS. I brought the car home almost two years ago, and it has stayed in a climate controlled garage since then. I start the car evry two weeks. I have a 1 amp trickle charger on the battery at all times.

Price - $52,000.00 Paid $59,000.00 new.

PM for more pictures and discussion.

Thank you.

Jim

$52K is not a bad deal for this car since in this forum three low mileage new 2007 Shelbys are going for $60K and above.

I think it is just a sign of the times. Our cars are essentially $40k-$60k toys. I've recently seen new KR's barely break a $60k selling price. In a better economy you would probably have people jumping all over this. I wish you well, but I think you'll probably have to lower your price some more.

Sincere question...feel free to ignore if you'd like...I have been around collector cars for about 25 years and I always wondered what influences you to keep a car in this condition and how can you not want to drive it?

Great color and terrific car BTW...

Thanks for the words on the Shelby CV.

I've had over 50 very rare older collector Muscle (69 RA IV GTO Judge, 70 GTO Judge CV, 71 GTO Judge, Super Bird, 70 Chevelle LS6 to mention a few). I bought the CV Shelby as a sister to the 2008 matching Vista Blue Shelby GT500 coupe that is Super Snaked now; I was planning on Super Snaking the CV like I did the coupe, so I kept the car in new condition. Once I recievd the SS Coupe back, I drive that car as it is a blast!

I'm looking to sell so I can buy a 2010 or 2011 Shelby. I'm an much older guy now, so maintenance / detailing can be encompassing with my schedule and I am very anal about keeping my cars looking like new, and as I have aged it becomes a physical issue to detail my cars; I spent 35 years in the USMC, so the body is worn out a tad bit...ugh. BUT, my love for all Muscle cars will never die. :salute:
