Dude, you cannot drop a bomb like that without giving the reason for selling the huffer! Are you making room for something nastier or have you seen the light and realized that power isn't everything? Ok, I had a hard a time writing that last bit with a straight face.

Well fellas, I wish it was a nasty new project in the works, but not this time. Every salaried director at my work got hit with a significant pay cut, me included. All high dollar non-essentials have to go. Gotta pay the bills. It was painful to have to type this up. This thing has been installed long enough for me to get used to the ungodly amount of power it makes. It's going to feel like driving miss daisy for quite a long while. <_<

Thanks Rick. I should have been better prepared for this, but I assumed that the recession was drawing to a close. We found out this week. I actually have a 6 year contract that I assumed would protect me from anything like this. My employer's attorneys cleared that up for me awfully quick though.
It's a huge bummer, but I'll always have the Shelby, no matter what comes my way, so I can't complain too much. :)

Bummer, I just did something out of character and asked the wife if I could help you (and me) out. I typically just ask for forgiveness afterwordss. With the squid just four months away from making an appearance she wouldn't even dignify me with a response.

Note to self; it's easier to ask for forgiveness.

Good-luck!

Dude, Ken, that just breaks me to hear. I was expecting to hear of a new wild hair idea for more power. Best wishes my man...
I know I'm just a few paychecks from some serious hurt. I lose my job and I've told the wife that I'm taking the Shelby and running to Mexico... :speedie:

Frank

Ken, when I first read this I was thinking what is he going to do now. Sorry to hear this. This economic down turn as got to change for all of our sake. To that end, great price, someone will get a great deal and will surely wake up the ponies.

Good luck Ken.

My brother is trying to secure the $ to buy my 66 fastback this week. This is a very new idea, but I'm open to it now that I've just finished with the restoration. I love the build and the satisfaction of the transformation much more than I love the final product. I'm sure that comes as no surprise to most of you guys that follow my mods. ;)
I'd take a loss on it, but with $70k+ invested, it'd be hard not to. If this deal goes through, I'll still be selling the Paxton. The only difference is that I'd be looking long and hard at the intercooled Novi 2200 instead. I'll keep ya guys posted. Thanks again for the kind words. :)

Wow, Ken. What a total bummer!

You are still going to AED, right? I will disinvite my Vette bud so he doesn't overdyno you :)
350HP and your suspension shouldn't be much of a hardship! :happy feet: (positive thinking)

Yeah man of course I'll be there! I'm not THAT hard up sheesh. ;)
Just making preemptive strides to keep my family comfortable. We'll be fine, so don't feel sorry for me guys. Resumes are headed out Monday morn. I'll get paid one way or another. :)
See ya on the 15th Dan!
