Here are a few important planning details...

Distance from SAI to LAX = Approx 300 miles (6 hrs @ 50 MPH average w/SoCal Traffic).
If we depart from the Shelby Museum at 10:00am, we should (conservatively) arrive in LA at approx 4:00pm.
And if we do get "stuck" in LA traffic, then we could still be there in time for Dinner & Drinks w/everyone else coming from CA.

EDIT = Taking the "scenic" route through Pahrump, NV will add approx 50 miles and 1 hour of drive time

So if everyone wants to add their name + mobile number to a list, I'll start one here and try to keep it updated...

We can always leave later, if that works for everyone interested... Might have to drive a little faster

Anyone know what time "Happy Hour" starts at the Embassy Suites (LAX) ???

And I can always throw out a pancake or two every so often, just like leaving a trail of bread crumbs

That's what I was looking for

For everyone else coming in by air and renting a car, we could all meet just South of town right off I-15 (Sloan Rd at Exit #25)...

Plan to depart from there no later than 12 Noon, for the 300-mile drive to LA

And that gives everyone with an AM flight enough time to get their bags, rental car and maybe even grab lunch before heading out...

At a "conservative" 60 MPH average (taking into consideration the traffic and the CHP) that would put us there around 5pm...

We can work out the details later...

Hey Gregg

We will be at SAI on Wed and I will be heading to LA most likely solo (Cathy isnot up for the drive). I am not sure what time, my SS is in the SAI mod shop and it may be a few hours to check it out and make sure no issues, so 10:00AM may be a liitle early for me. We will have to see.

If we meet up, I like to take the route through Parumph to Baker. A good route if you want a little speed. Adds an hour or so though.

We'll wait if you want us to And departing from SAI at 10am isn't set in stone either... But I do agree that we need to take the "scenic" route into Baker, CA. So if you are running late out of the Mod Shop, then we can still meet up in Baker, if you stick to I-15 and take the direct route...

And it looks like we've picked up CobraFan & TRT404 as well...

In fact, I MAY just hang back in Vegas....driving 10 hours in a 6 banger rental isnt exactly turning me on right now....

If we leave SAI around 10:00am and drive thru Pahrump, we should be in Baker around 12:30pm (+/- 30 mins)... Was planning to stop for food & gas, since it is about 1/2 way to LAX...

Look for us parked near the World's Largest Thermometer.

Looks like I will have a open seat for the run to LA and back, my wife wants to stay in LV to play, shop, whatever. You are welcome to ride along if you like if Warren bugs out.
