1. A few things here. If you have the passenger side airbag cover signed and it gets damaged due to an accident, who cares. The car is of more value than the signature. Don't let that deter you from having the airbag cover signed.
2. You can order an airbag cover from the dealer to have sent out. I didn't want to waste any money or time so, I simply removed the airbag and sent out the original cover. I did take a chance and drove the car without any airbag protection. The only thing was, I wouldn't let anyone else in the car with me. I drove it by myself a few times without airbag protection (I know i know, the insurance company would have all sorts of fun if I put in a claim) but, I took a gamble and got away with it. If you go this route (I'm not condoning doing it) you have to disable the airbag circuit by pulling fuse #17 (10A). You can find that fuse panel on the right side of the front passenger foot well. There's a small access panel. Behind that panel is the fuse block.
3. If I were you, I would save the money and send out the original airbag cover and patiently wait for it to return before driving the car.

Hi Scott,
The Shelby signed items are through the foundation and there are no discounts. The fee for the autograph ($250) is tax-deductible though. I just placed my order for the autograph today.
