I know what yall are thinking...didnt we just see this guy like twice in one month?

Well, I was out shooting videos of a couple state road projects, and I decided to take the roads less travelled since it was 70 and had the car....I found some great roads that rival 170 in Lajitas, but are an hour away from San Antonio, near Medina, TX, and Leakey, TX...I am thinking a 200 mile drive with some good top end driving and hairpin hold on to your britches passes, 6 in a 50 mile stretch to be exact....WAY FUN! It made our Devil's backbone run in September look like a flat ride.

So my question to my Texas and close state buds- when would yall like to do it? December, February, March? not interested?

Also looking into a wonderful HUGE track setup in mid-Texas....but thats another thread for later!

February or March looks good. December is a busy time of year. Maybe set up a nite in Kerrville :)

I'm interested! Hopefully I won't have any conflicts with the dates you come up with. Spring break (3/14-3/21) is already booked since my wife is off that week.

Looks like a real hoot. Hill Country driving can offer a lot of excitement. I'm in for Feb or March. :happy feet: :shift:

January is out for me. March is better, but if we fix the dates in Feb or March I should be able to make it. Sounds like fun!!

Wait, someone else wants to plan a get together? What, Terlingua wasn't enough for you, or are you just trying to hone your skills?

Slight misdirection from topic but I am now in Houston and wondering if anyone in the area is getting together anytime soon? This week I am swamped with the new job but thereafter would be interested in ogling a few cars if there is a cruise in going on in the Houston area.

Yeah, I think March would be a good month! Let me look at some stuff and see what I can put together....I agree Sherri, we need an overnight so we can visit without needing to get back...We can meet for a late breakfast, early lunch maybe in San Antonio, do the Western Hill country on Saturday, stay in Kerrville or maybe even Fredricksburg, and do a drive up into Austin on Sunday...that puts us all in a central location to make it home Sunday afternoon...let me crunch some numbers!

Harris Hill Road in San Marcos www.harrishillroad.com

I have it rented March 6th-7th.

1.8 mile, 11 turns, with elevation changes. Price is in the 300-400.00 range per car for the weekend. Still working on the logistics of it all.

Welcome to Texas rown4au. I sent you a PM.

If anyone is up for a cruise on Nov 22 starting at Deerbrook mall heading up thru Sam Houston National forest and ending at Lake Conroe your welcome to attend as I would like to have some shelby's along with me so I'm not alone. Another club I'm a member of is putting on the cruise and there are several Vipers, Z06 vettes and slomaros in this club.

Here's the website www.texasperformanceevents.com If anyone would like to join

The drive sounds fun. We can see if we can find Spring if it's in March. The track (road?) sounds fun also. I'll stay tuned......
