Sharon, Robert,
I called the Alienta Station hotel phone number on the Bash meet info page for a reservation today; and they said there is no special rate, and the terms are still being negotiated.
Is this correct?
I said the Shelby Vegas bash. Said nothing is firm.
If this is correct and it is to early, no problem , please just let me know when we can begin to make reservations.
Thanks,
Bill

What was the rate they quoted you? When I reserved my room, I thought it was actually cheap. I think it was like 139.00/night. If my memory serves me correctly I think it was the same as last year.

I made my reservations last night for the 7th thru the 10th of Jan and told them I was with a group (Shelby Vegas Bash) and the lady said " Oh yeah, I see that right here". I said I would like the deluxe room and she said $139.00 is the rate. She booked it and sent me my confirm # in short order. Perhaps the person working with you was inexperienced. Countin down the days now.

I reserved months ago. The "rates" are definitely finalized.

If you check their website for room availability the week before we are there the rates are $79 a night. I guess we do get a "special" rate ($139)!!!

I got mailer from yesterday that gave me free rooms for three nights. I already had a reservation at $139.00 a night and called them to see if i could apply this offer. The answer was no

They told me that the Shelby guys are a bunch of cheapskates and don't gamble enough, so they have to charge us more!

Just kidding - the rate was established a while ago in order to guarantee the rooms for our party. They said they would happily honor other rates and offers prior to or preceding the event.

I just called them, and reserved for 7-11, since we are staying an extra day, and the code is under "Shelby Auto Bash". The rate is 139.00 for the deluxe room....I had no problem at all getting it. Hope that helps!

You noticed that too :headscratch:

EDIT = Promo Code is "S01SHEL" (Without the quotes and the 2nd digit is a ZERO)... Should pop up with the correct rates and types of rooms available...

I agree, seeing as this is NOT an official Birthday Function anyway, why not move it a week later?!

January 11th is opening day on the NAIAS in Detroit. I imagine Carroll will be there for the reveal of the new Shelby GT350!

I'm in agreement. Since it's now the Vegas Bash and not the B-day bash lets move it a week later and save everyone some $$

It would also give SAI a little more breathing room after the holidays to get ready for us.
