that sucks...doubt the rpms though (unless he was riding the clutch)...be interesting to hear the tale of what failed and what caused it..

You know, these motors were made to be modded woth S/C's and tunes. I'm a bit curious to know if it was the mod or a manufacturing defect.

Can't wait to hear long term stats on the hennessey's with stock motor and S/C and all that...KABOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM

My guess: threw a rod out, knocking a hole in the the side of the block..............I am very surprised at this though, wonder how much boost he was running?

All the build quality in the world will not address:

1. Bad canned tunes not verified on the dyno
2. Bad gas
3. Driver revving to 6500+ RPM

The clutch was slipping as well? I recall seeing a video of some guy shifting with the clutch half-way pressed and some comments being made, actually here on this forum, that's the right way to drive the car.
