HOPING FOR SOME HELP HERE. :headscratch: HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED A

NON ILLUMINATED DASH POD SITUATION.

IS THERE A FUSE OR IS IT A BULB OR LOSE WIRE AND IF IT IS A BULB WHERE

DO I GET ONE OR 3 BULBS SINCE IT IS A 3 GAUGE DASH POD.

MY SCENARIO WAS THE LIGHTS IN THE POD WHERE WORKING WHEN I USED THE

CAR LAST IN AUG. THEN I HADN'T USED THE CAR UNTILL TODAY 11/O4 AND NOW

NO LIGHT OR LIGHTS. I HAVE USED THE DASH LIGHT DIMMER CONTROL ON THE

CAR ; WHICH DIMMED AND CONTROL THE BRIGHTNESS ; AND STILL DASH POD NO

WORKEY. ALL 3 GAUGES ARE WORKING , BOOST , OIL PSI. ETC ; JUST LIGHT OR

LIGHTS NO WORKEY. :headscratch:

THANKS FOR ANY HELP OR INSITE TO MY QUERY. :lurk:

There are 3 bulbs, so odds of all 3 being shot are pretty slim.
I'd guess that you've lost a ground on the lighting circuit. Check under the dash, immediately to the right, up under the console. You'll see a couple of 13mm bolts on the side of the trans tunnel, just above the carpet. One of them should have a black wire underneath the head of the bolt. Make sure that bolt hasn't backed out, causing the missing ground. Also, look around for any loose wires under the dash, red, white, or black. A hot wire may have come loose. There is no fuse FYI. Good luck

If after looking around under the dash you're still without the lights, take a peek under the gauge pod itself. The power and grounds for all 3 bulbs are connected into single wires under the pod, before they exit out the back and behind the dash. You may have just broken one of those connections underneath the pod.

Wasn't there a connection made behind the light dimmer switch as well for the pod light power? Maybe check there as well.

Yes sir, very good point.
That little light switch assembly pops right out with a flat head screwdriver. Another good place to look.

You don't suppose the lights are wired in series like an old xmas tree do you?

One goes, they all go?

Do you have a multimeter or access to one?

I'm pretty sure that one power lead and ground went up to the dash pod lights and each gauge had it's own lead to the individual gauge. I think it's either a bad ground or most likely the power lead has no pwer from the dimmer switch.

OK, I will add to the thread. Ever since we picked up out Terlingua it seemed as if there was only one light lighting up in the guage pod. Now that I read there are three lights inside. What is the best way to get to them?

You'll have to pull the pod assembly off the dash. Gauges are fastened in from behind. Once you get the pod off the dash, just twist the bulb socket out of each gauge...
