As a promotion they mailed every dealer a certificate for the 08 & 09 KR's they still had in stock back in late August 2009. If you buy a new KR from a dealer's lot, they should give you the certificate.

Per my conversation with the Ford Performance Group, with exceptions to dealers with KRs on their lots, were NOT offering the COA to KR owners. I was surprised, and disappointed, that I could not purchase one. The GT500 COAs are very nice. I spoke with Roger Sorel, and received this email message (dated Oct) from him:
We will be working on certificates for KR owners later this month and will keep you on the list.

I'll post an email to Roger, to see if he has an update.

The problems is that not all Dealers care about it. I bought mine from my local Ford dealer that did a Dealer trade and the dealer they got my KR from has as no idea what we are talking about.

Please keep us posted! When I talked to the guys at SVT, they were very apologetic, but said they just could not offer them on the KRs.

Not just the KR's but I would suspect not on any of the Vegas built Shelby's. These cars would all be handled thru SAI. Roger and the Vegas crew have been working on certificates and will make an announcement when they have something ready for us.

Would you mind scanning and posting a copy of the certificate? I'm really curious to see what it looks like, especially since the guys at SVT say that they don't exist!!!
Thanks

The guys at SVT told me that in late August they sent every single dealer that had an 08 or 09 KR a certificate as a promotion to help them sell their cars. He also said that these certificates cannot be purchased for the KR's. They won't be available except for those cars sitting at dealer's lots in late August 09.

I just spoke with Roger Sorel of SAI, and he reassured me that this is on their list of "things to do."
1. SAI is VERY busy right now with several projects that they hope to release in the New Year...
2. They are working the details of the KR COA, but this is the tentative plan:
a). SAI will require us to register our KRs on the shelbyautos.com REGISTRY.
3. This should happen "soon," and it will be announced when it is up and running.
