My son bought his 08 S-GT-C in may with MMs help and it is his pride and joy;last night some low rent SOB swiped his emblems off the car out side his place on campus;this kid pulls a 4.0 GPA carries a heavy load at school and works 30-35 hours a week.I hope the wheel of Karma flattens this low rent out! Its not new;some idiot stole my emblems off my 68 in 1977(prob this thieves daddy)
got connections and phone calls will go out Monday for replacements

That really stinks. I may be assuming too much, but if he is on campus, they could very well get taken again. He might want to save the replacement 'Powered by Ford' badges and put on regular GT badges until he is done with school and has a better place to keep his Shelby.

That sucks! I know they're usually just noise makes, but maybe think about installing an alarm.

Seems to me that if they are STOLEN, and you have filed a police report, you should be able to get a replacement set from SAI by providing them a copy of the police report...I'd sure give them a call anyway and see what their take is on it...

Post an On campus wanted poster. Put a pic of the emblems on it. I mean we all know there aren't many if any out there. You might get a tip. Sorry about the bad luck

Hey Doc Scott,
Does your son post on the Grabber Orange thread? Got to watch our cars all the time. Just comes with owning AWESOME CARS. I'm always uneasy when parking it and I can't see it. Drives me nuts. LOL

Seeing as how I own the GO SGT in question and own(ed) the PBF badges we're talking about, I figured I'd better chime in. Yes, yes I do post on the GO thread. I too am extra uneasy when parking it, even more so now. Thanks guys for all the support, rest assured its not going anywhere near campus again. I never really wanted it there in the first place, but it ended up that way. Hopefully I'll get another set (or 2 just in case) and all will be right in the world again

Well some DIPSH!T knew what they were looking for. I would look around campus for any Mustang bearing these emblems and I'm sure that will be the thief.

a friend with a salvage yard had a set off a low mileage wreck;he was saving them for a special project and knows my son. I told my son to buy a set of cheap repops to put on the car when he is driving it, but this is the cars last hurrah for school transportation and he will be driving a beater for the remainder of his junior/senior year in college.

The only things I don't like about owning my SGT are that it could get stolen, it could have parts stolen from it and/or it could get door dinged or similar whenever I park it anywhere!

Its a shame that we have to be concerned with such things.

This thread, as well as my recent encounter with a Dodge and Saturn, has also tempted me to look for a beater..

Hmmm... older Mustang? Or maybe a Ranger..?

This is one reason (that and the price of gas) that we began leasing a 3rd car 2 years ago (a Civic)...so the Civic can take the daily beating and the Shelby could rest safely at home! This time next year we'll be looking for a new commuter car....

+1 on that. I have 1 myself. A 96 model. No a/c and power steering. Manual windows. But it still looks decent and gets 40 mpg. Those things run forever if taken care of. But I didn't listen to myself and drove the SGT on the wrong day and hit a deer.
