I was unsure about spending that much money on the car eventhough the dealer said the KRs had been selling for $100K and up. I wanted to investigate the Super Snake which I understood would cost roughly $90K finished. A friend of mine was pushing me to the SS. I was undecided. The economy tanked soon after I first looked at the three KRs.
I waited, and waited and waited and watched. The KRs after about 3 months started to drop slightly. The three KRs were in the dealers showroom for about a year. Each time I passed the dealer I saw the three KRs in the showroom and hoped that eventually the prices would drop to a more reasonable number. The dealer dropped the prices to about $72K this past August but wouldn't budge further. Then one night my neighbor, who is a Mustang enthusiast and who owns a 69 Mach 1 pulls up my driveway two weeks ago with the Silver KR. I was in shock. He told me he paid $58K. The car was beautiful and sounded awesome and was even more impressive out of the showroom. I was excited and was anxious to call the dealer the following morning. My neighbor told me the Blue KR was also sold. Now I was getting nervous hoping the Red KR wouldn' be sold before I could try and strke a deal on it.
Long story short, after two days of speaking with the manager I finally struck a deal on the Torch Red KR at $61K. Not a bad price I thought so I pulled the trigger. I am really pumped to finally have the red KR I saw over a year ago and never thought would be mine actually now in my garage!
The car is awesome
