Well I was able to have the guy who makes the all in one intergated key for the ford gt make me a batch of keys. I am very happy with the key. I always felt the key and seperate fob was just a bad idea on ford's part. After dealing with Andrew and asking him to make me a run for my new gt500kr he did it and now three weeks later they showed up. I havent had a chance to cut them yet but check out the pics.

I guess it could be. I paid 115$ per key as that is what he charges the ford gt guys. It took some work to get them made as they were only made for the fgt. The keys I had made worked for any gt500, gt500kr and gt500ss from 2007-2009. I know it will take a big run to get any more made so think 50-100 keys to get them done.

You can pm me or email me if you want one and I can work it out with him. He didnt want a bunch of guys asking for a key here and there. if we can get 50-100 guys together I will go back and ask for another run. Like I said these are only made for the fgt so it took some work to get them made for my kr. I have no problem asking for you guys just need enough people as I will not pay for another batch.

Somewhere on TS there is a thread about doing kind of the same thing. I forget which Ford car they sourced the key/fob from, wasn't the GT, but people were just buying the things on ebay and getting the key cut and fob programmed. Try the Ford Fusion.

The big difference though is that the single Ford key & FOB does not switchblade out. The key is rigid.

I'm down if we can get enough people, Personally I like the switchblade style over the Focus key.

I started with the fusion key but found this option and thought it was better than the fusion key set up. It is a switch blade you push up and then hit the side button for it to drop away. pretty cool and worth money in my eyes but not all people care. i know the fgt guys were not happy with the key and fob ford gave them and this key was born. Would be cool if it popped out on its own but than I am sure the price would go up.

I hear you. The Range Rovers had the switchblade style over 10 years ago and thought it was neat. Funny thing is most people never used it. They just left the key extended.

I like it - not sure I like it to $115 but if it gets cheaper with bulk order I might be in. Have a few other things to buy first.

What does a dealer usually charge to cut/program the key to the car?

Guys I am getting pm's here and there asking about these. Like i said the guy who makes them will need at least 50 orders to run a new batch. if you want to make a list and once we have the 50 send the money in to him I will get you a batch made. that is the only way to get them at this point. This was a one time run so please dont ask for a key unless you can get 50 people together or are willing to buy 50 yourself. They will work for 2007-2009 gt500, gt500kr and gt500ss.

Okay...I'm confused. Will the key in this link work for or cars or does something else have to be done. I would like to have one it is pretty cool.

Thats who makes the keys. He made me a run for the gt500's but does not offer them unless we buy a big run.

6 grand for 50 keys.....sounds like a good deal for the dealer........

they sell them individually for $115, but the dealer needs 50-100 orders to do another batch?

Is that how many he needs to get a quantity discount on all our $115s and keep the difference?
