Reminds me of a line from one of Tom Cruse's first movies "Risky Business"...

"So, who's the U-Boat commander?"

Not that anything this guy did was too bright, but does anyone else find it exceptional that he would leave the engine running for 15 minutes after the car went in the drink?

I caught that too. I guess if you are going to dip a $2 mil car in salt water you better drowned the engine and ensure its completely totaled. Wouldn't want the insurance company to put it back on the road for you just to rust around you....lol

Ouch. This really is a DA. I can't wait to see his insurance rates next year! It was the Pelican, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I really want to hear this guys call to his insurance company!
I can't imagine what the salt water is doing to the aluminum intensive suspesion and platform. Can't imagine this car is worth anything anymore.

I was wondering the same thing, he can pay for a 2MM dollar car, but can't turn off the key? I could almost understand if it was submerged and he had to get out, but he was in two feet of water!

I like at the end of the video when the tow truck driver washed his hands in the mudd.

Yeah in 15 minnutes you would have thought to at least turn the engine off and climb out the window. This guy must have been half senile.

Dude is either the stupidest guy in the world OR he did it on purpose to collect the insurance money or get out of the monthly payment.

He forgot to buy the optional package of driving skills with the car.

Keep you eye out on eBay. There's going to be a $15k Veyron floating around somewhere...

I agree with sportcars it looked to set up for me. I know everyone has a camera phone but the odds of that is pretty high. I'll go with door #1 insurance job.
