What's up with my battery going dead within a week?

Are these batteries refillable?

Thanks

Have it checked out at the dealer. Sounds like a bad battery.

There was a post on here not long ago about the same issue - guy checked his and it wasn't the maintenance free battery, had to be refilled with distilled water as the plates had become uncovered.

Just put mine in storage though and checked for the same thing but found out mine does intend have the mainenance free type. Maybe the type of battery you get depends on your local ie cold climate? :headscratch:

Mine went bad just before it left the dealership with 9 miles, they had to replace it.

I found that when I left the key in the ignition it went dead in a couple of days. Since I pull it out and drop it in the cup holder no problems.

If you lock your car the security alarm is activated, if you have in a garage leave unlocked it will help less draw on the battery , When I store mine I put a battery Tender on haven`t had a problem since.
