might be in the market for aftermarket hi-flow catted x-pipe. NOT CATLESS.

i will be running the stock exhaust manifolds & pipes. only non-stock is corsa axle backs.

so far the options include:
1. bassani 3" (i need some adapters)
2. magnaflow 2.5" (not sure if this fits the stock manifolds)
3. slp (not sure if this fits the stock manifolds)
4. jba 3" (sot sure if this fits the stock manifolds)
5. lethal 2.5"

post comments on:

1. which ones are you running
2. how much boost/hp you are running
3. how long you have had them
4. how were the fitment issues
5. are they equipped with o2 bungs
6. any problems you have run in to
7. how loud are they on a scale of 1-5 (5 being obtrusively loud and 1 being stock)

thanks, brad

Brad,

I have the JBA 3" with high-flow cats from the stock manifold. I run the TVS with about 16 lbs. of boost. I've had them well over a year now with no issues. We had to do some tack welding in the rear to keep them from twisting. Yes, it does have the O2 sensors. As far as loudness, they are probably a 3.5 on a scale from 1 to 5. I was heard much worse on other GT500's. You can gauge the noise from driving my car anyday if you like.

Nice topic Brad, I may be in the market for the same on my vert since I seem to be at the track more with that one lately. I have to keep it somewhat quiet since it's the family car.

:hysterical: It really is. My wife says I better not screw around modding that car. She really likes it so anything I do has to pass the test ! I like taking it to the track because it's fun when all us GT500 guys are within .5 of each other. Since I am the worst driver of the group I might need a little more hp than the other guys to get the job done.

The coupe with the 2.9 is just a bear to drive with drag radials and with slicks will probably get me the boot even with the relaxed rules.......so....I might need to tweak the vert a little but don't want anything obvious that she could notice while we are out cruising with the top down!

I have the SLP catted X-pipe, stock manifolds, kr mufflers, whipple 2.9 ~16lbs. They have the 02 bungs and harness extensions, it's a complete and easy to install setup. That being said, they are a bit loud for me with the KR mufflers (3.5-4 on a scale of 5)... and I will be swaping the SLP out for either the lethal, or magnaflow setup which have the cats on the down tube. The cat size and placement of the SLP setup, eats up too much of my ground clearance. (car is lowered with frpp handling pack).
