Looking at the article in the latest Shelby SIP magazine, the pix of last years bash look like there are passengers in the cars and no one is wearing helmets!?!? Is this real track time or low speed cruising around the track? Any veterans out there that can comment?

Hi,
Without helmets was the parade lap.
There will be an info sheet with the requirements and a tech sheet coming to registrants prior to the event.
They do require a Snell SA rated helmet, 5 years old or less.
Passengers were allowed last year.
The cars are grouped by experience. The top experience groups are real track time sessions.

We NOW have the Open Track Rules and Schedule posted on the Shelby Vegas Bash web site soon. They are on the Event Locations Tab at the Top of the Home page.
You do not have to have a fire extinguisher mounted in the car. You do need to have a Snell approved helmet. We may have a session in the afternoon that we will allow one passenger in the cars. In that event they will also need a helmet.
There will be two Parade Sessions each day that you will be able to take passengers in the cars without helmets.
Hope this helps.
David

If you never plan on going to a track again then that would be correct.
However, I know that last year there was quite a bit of helmet swapping going on. Might want to try to hook up with someone from here (who would be in a different class) and see about sharing.

Remember to practice safe helmet sharing and use a helmet condom. ha ha
