So with the mods I have should I skip over the DRs and go to the ET slicks on 15 in rims????Also what off set is needed for this car if using a 15" or is there some special rim needed to do this???? sorry for all the???? but I do like doing things right the first time around and don't wish to have a tire store in my shop. Kobra-I live about 45 south of Cin. We come up and go to the Newport Aqua. a couple times a year.
I'm not getting hostile with David,I think he's a good guy.I bought a set of wheels from him and he is good to his word.And I think he knows I am too.Since I don't have a ticket,it was an invitation for the car to be proven to another member on here.And I couldn't prove it to a better member,we all like David on here and I don't think many would disagree.

mr-thanks....no sir,I ran the 10 in the tungsten car with Hoosier slicks 28x10x16 mounted on the cobra r wheels. It has the Evo. stage 4 (2.6 pulley), Evo.suspension,4.10's with the Eaton HD locker,Quik shifter,Alum. D/S,linelock, It ran a 10.78@136.59.....I got to see the ticket but didn't get to leave with it.They would not hand it to me,only let me look at it.With no proof(other than the people that were down there) I never posted it,because ...well I had no proof.That was on the race tune.As far as the rollbar,I was going to,but I'm holding out for a removable one and trying to find someone to make me one that I can just bolt in when I want and take it out just as easy.

Evo has went 9.96@141.xx.. that was with a small shot on the 15's....They have also went 10.4's w/out the shot.Any one correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Thanks Jerry for the clarification. I find it strange that we have not seen anyone break 10s with the KB yet. I think the proper setup on the car is in order (as well as the proper driver). I need to find a set if rims and slicks that will work. Can you post a few pics of the Cobra R rims? I tested a set of slicks mounted on an 04 Cobra but the rims were flat at the lugs and hit the brakes. I hate to buy a set of new rims given that I will probably only run a few times before being banned. I am holding off on the race tune until I find a set, then I will commit to a hard try.

There is a video of David's car before I bought them from him.I'm getting ready to go to car wars and when I get back,I'll try to post some pics of them.They are 95 cobra r wheels.No problems hitting or rubbing at all and you use the stock lugnuts.

I don't want to beat a dead horse here its really doesn't matter.... but unless you altered the tune via adjusting the Rev limit past 6450 (which is where the EVO Race Files were set) you'd be hitting right at 6700 RPM trapping 136+ in 4th with a 28" tire. The fastest the EVO race car ever trapped prior to a 75 shot of NOS was 133-134 and it had a modded lower and 2.5 upper and much more timing than the file you were running. Out of curiosity do you remember the 60' and 1/8 mile ET & MPH ? I not saying it isn't possible its just the ET doesn't match the MPH unless you had alot of tire. I do remember you running a 10.78 pass though....Just never knew the MPH was that high. Good Luck and if you need any help with the Latest KB tune let me know.
