  1. Past hour
  2. A friend saw a "save this date" notice on Facebook about a "Team Shelby Mountain Region Nationals" event to be held in Boulder, Colorado on August 31 and September 1, 2019. I don't do Facebook. I know that the Shelby American Collection in Boulder is having their annual show and party on August 31. Does anyone have any info on this other possible event that weekend?
  3. Today
  4. Carroll Shelby enthusiasts, I just learned late today that registration for the 7A CSMC on my GoFundMe account was blocked by a glitch. The issue has now been resolved and the GFM link is working again. https://www.gofundme.com/nj6cv4-carroll-shelby-memorial-classic See you in less than 3 weeks on Saturday May 11th at The Cobra Experience! Best, Jim
  5. Hey Keefer, you got good eyes, I totally missed the Mid-Year Vette! It’s hard to tell for sure but it looks like it’s a 65 or 66 small block hood in the same color as my 64 Vette! I should of asked BB if I could borrow his “PEPPER’S”, and then I wouldn’t of missed it!! LOL Later Bud! “GOOSE"
  6. I would try to polish them with a foam pad and a mild polish. I would not suggest working by hand. Use a da polisher. Working by hand will introduce micromarring. If you are uncomfortable using a machine polisher, I would have the whole car paint corrected by a professional who understands what the term paint correction means. Any 5 year old black car with miles on it could definitely benefit by a professional paint correction.
  7. Bingo!!!!…..Yup 70 Mach1 Mustang with shaker......BUT look closer you'll see another one Goose!!!....guess we should have detective BB here... Happy Easter buddy Goose!!……….
  8. Yesterday
  9. Excellent reply!! Your first sentence says it all in the (true value of the purchase is the enjoyment of the ride)!!! Later! “MONGOOSE” J.M.O.
  10. Hey Keefer, from the reflection it looks like a smashed front end of a 70 Mach1!! J.M.O. “HAPPY EASTER” Later Bud! “GOOSE” The Vette looks like it is all “Chromed” out!
  11. The wheels are a pretty common look these days so, other then the color, I dont see them being ricer and loss of credibility?
  12. They most definitely without a doubt came with blue filters. Over time and even without driving they will turn gray. I guess it is possible if they are stored in a red dirt part of the country the gray could be replaced with red dust.
  13. The true value of the purchase is the enjoyment of the ride and knowing you have a 600+ road monster to cruise in. The difference in power and suspension from '07 to '14 is deffnitely noticable. When there are tens of thousands of a particular car built like the GT500, future dollar value is not going to be at a collector value. A 2013-14 GT500 is an amazing ride, Enjoy it for what it is, not what it could be as a financial investment. There are many examples of other past Shelby Mustangs, Corvettes, etc. that were amazing when they came out, commanded rediculous ADM and then disappointed the early buyers when it came to later sales. Shelbys passing has no affect. Enzo hasn't been around for years but cars with his name still command big numbers and interest. Get want you want it, get it.. If you want to keep the car locked in the garage for future value , a better investment is a poster of it on the wall to stare at. Shelbys are made to be driven!😎
  14. Cargurus..com is good, but I agree with above, personally if I were looking for a car like that I would find a 1 owner garage queen by an enthusiast. As far as going down in value I do not think the 2020 Mustang will drive the value down because I think the 2020 will be priced so high it will make the 13/14 seem like an incredible value at the current run rate. I do think value will continue to go down, but not because of the 2020 coming out. It is all about supply and demand, if enough people sell to upgrade then you could be dead on, but I do not see it happening. I love the 13/14, but if I were in the market for a Muscle Car I would absolutely get a newer one with the IRS and significantly updated interior/tech. Just my 2 cents.
  15. Your best solution is to replace them with painted stripes. Solves the problem permanently. Not cheap, but the best way to go. Pretty sure once the silver stripes go, there's no bringing them back.
  16. What about the silver stripes ? Do you know of anything for them
  17. The front of this Vette is cool huh ?.....look good!!……….
  18. Agree with what Norton stated above, but will add: The 2020 @ this point only comes with the DCT, a turnoff for some potential buyers, this I feel will help the 13/14 MY's hold their value. If I were looking for a car, I would stick to websites like TS, SVTP, & Fordgt500.com, cars posted on these sites will be closer to what you're looking for..
  19. Yes, I’m sure it is the oil. 30 years from now MCA guys will be debating what color is correct. I like the blue and I need to refresh mine, the BBK looks great. Thanks for posting the pics!
  20. Are we sure the "red" isn't just the filter oil color, similar to what is found in a K&N filter recharge kit? When I bought my '09 a few months ago, the filter was very dry and had probably never been serviced. Ten years and 2,800 miles later the filter looked white-ish. I purchased a BBK "blue" cleaner/oil recharge kit P/N 1100 and it is good as new again. Sorry that I did not capture a "before" picture, but here it is now.
  21. Depreciation is a sad fact of life, when it comes to cars so, the longer you wait, the lower prices will go for at least the next decade. (At the same time, finding low mile, unmolested specimens will become harder and harder.) Being a 2013 owner, I'm biased, but I think the '13 and '14 MYs will hold value better than others for several reasons. First, they're the last S197 chassis GT500s, and the S550s just don't do it for some of us. Second, they will no longer be the most powerful Mustangs ever created, but their title as the fastest is in no danger. Third, the new one offers no option for those of us who demand a manual transmission. Finally, '13 was the last year Carroll Shelby had anything to do with providing vision for the car. I've had good luck locating vehicles with AutoTrader and Cars.com. Make sure you know what to look for, and more importantly, what to avoid in these cars. Good luck!
  22. Thanks shepp. I thought the same thing, but I’m seeing a lot of red filters on the KR’s. Here is a wrapper 2009 with 33 miles: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/shelby/gt500kr/2248983.html#&gid=1&pid=6 and a 08 with 2,850 miles: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/shelby/gt500kr/1950712.html#&gid=1&pid=7 I have found at least a dozen others with the same red filter. Seems very unlikely that these did not leave Shelby this way.
  23. Good evening, I am in the process of selling my 2007 Shelby GT I am planning my next purchase. I would really like to buy a low mileage (less than 10,000) 2014 GT500 Convertible but I do not want to pull the trigger knowing that the value of those cars may go down with the arrival of the new 2020 GT500. I know it is a difficult question to answer but I would like to have your opinion. In addition, what is the best way to be aware of 2014 GT500 Convertible that could be on sale in the southeast? I am looking at CarFax.com, AutoTrader.com, etc but I am sure there are other way to look for this right? Thank you.
  24. It came with blue and I believe a replacement can still be bought from Shelby.
  25. Last week
  26. Sorry you “LOSE”!! Not a fair comparison buddy!!!! Ha Ha!! “I WIN”!!!
  27. I have signed airbag cover in the box that I brought from Shelby in Las Vegas. I also have the certificate of authenticity. Let me know if you are interested.
  28. Sorry fellas ....Silver bullet is faster then re-sale Red. ......
