  1. Looks nice. I almost went with a Saleen in that same color before I found my 08 Shelby GT.
  2. WOW...these cars depreciate fast. That works out to about $3.25 per mile depreciation (assuming the car cost $38K new). Considering that the car is 4 years old...that's approx. a loss of $8.90 per day. (That means these cars will be free when they are 12 years old) I can't believe everyone is selling so cheap. Must be alot of over extended loans out there. No way you could touch my 08 SGT for that price. I will keep driving it at that rate.
  3. I know of at least two different Mustang GTs with the Shelby hood, front fascia, stripes and badges in the Omaha area. They look good but not real Shelbys. Imitation is a form a flattery.
  4. Graduated from College in '89...$20K in debt. Paid off loan in 1999. Now I am paying for my daughters college. (Yes, she will have a few loans) So no Supercharger for me.
  5. It's too bad that we let politics get in the way of simple solutions. There will be many that will come with questions to shoot solution like this down, such as: Is there enough hay to clean up this spill? How would the price a hay be impacted if large quantities where sent to the clean up efforts? It would not be long before someone would figure out a way to say that this is not practical. I hate politics...but I have to deal with it everyday in my job.
  6. I just read about this today. Placed my order a few minutes ago. Thanks to SAI for all the hard work on this project. I deal daily with adminstratiors and know how difficult it is to come to an agreement on something like this. You guys are the best.
  7. 1907 PHOTO This one needs to circulate I think this is one email that needs to be forwarded until every American with a computer receives it.. The year is 1907, one hundred and 3 years ago. Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907. 'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American.... There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.' Theodore Roosevelt 1907 Every American citizen needs to read this! KEEP THIS MOVING
  8. I had to send this to my Dad.....
  9. This really ticks me off. This is AMERICA .... not @#!%$## mexico. (and yes, I typed mexico with a small "m")
  10. Rest in Peace Mark...you have served your country well. My condolences to Barbie and her (and Mark's) daughter. This was shocking when I read it. This forum truely has that family feeling even though I don't post much.
  11. Andrew So sorry to here about the car. Like everyone else, I am happy that there were no serious injuries. God was certainly keeping his hands on both of them. We never know why God allows things like this to happen, but it is all in his plan. I have a daughter who turns 16 on April 15th. She will see these pictures tonight and know the outcome. Try not to be too hard on yourself. Reflecting back when I was younger, I can say that I made my fair share of mistakes. I can tell you that they had nothing to do with either of my parents decisions or the way they brought me up. They are both great parents, even today. I hope your son learns from this accident and as a result becomes a better person. You had a beautiful car and will again some day have another.
  12. Could this be the last 07 SGT? I was cruzing on Craigs List and came across this ad. http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ctd/1677671874.html
  13. I pulled mine out last night just to run into town just buy a lottery ticket. (I live about 8 miles out of town). Sure I had to make the pass up and down main street and past the High School Ball fields. Good thing the ball was not hit to left field, that player would have never seen it coming. This was the first drive since last November. OOOOHHHH what a feeling. I HAD to pass two cars that were traveling just below the speed limit on the way home. This car really does feel good when you down sift and give it a "little" gas. :car:
  14. I powdercoated mine last fall. Look at post #38 for pictures http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/46311-stock-valve-covers/page__hl__ngnear
