  1. Put the boot cover on the 2008 GT500 convertible once just to see how it was done, haven't used it since then. Is there any after market cover that looks better?
  2. Enjoyed observing National Mustang Day (actually April 17, 2019). Clear, but cool and breezy. Visited Ford World HQ, stopped by Flat Rock Assembly Plant, and ended the afternoon eating at Pete's Garage in Monroe, MI. with about thirty others.
  3. Scott Hoag was there at the March meeting.
  4. How about some pictures when you put them on.
  5. Little Daddy’s Family Restaurant 39500 N. Woodward Ave. Bloomfield Hills, MI. 48304 (248) 647-3400. Plan to join us on Thursday, April 5, 2019 at 6:30PM for a new chapter of the Shelby Club story.
  6. So you asked what a good asking price is, can you tell us what a good selling price was?
  7. Has anyone looked into this airbag recall litigation? Hear advertisements on radio, don't like to get involved as lawyers are the only ones that really make out on these lawsuits. Besides, until the airbag goes off, I'm satisfied with recall.
  8. I belong to more than one club. Living far from Florida, I know nothing about what goes on there. That said, Tony on the saac(forum).com is always promoting some kind of event in Florida.
  9. No 2008 or 2009 GT500KR convertibles. Much to my sadness. At one time had a plan to turn GT500 into GT500KR, biggest hurdle was hood. Shelby was very tight-fisted about them.
  10. Went to Woodward Cruise as part of Team Shelby Dearborn Invasion on Mustang Alley in Ferndale. Met two guys from Airbag Recall team. Complained about this problem. They took my name and number. Valerie called me Monday morning, gave her my serial number. She called dealer (Dean Sellers, Troy, MI). They called me this morning, went in at 10:45. At 11:00 I was driving out with Shelby GT500 black wheel center installed. I guess third time's the charm. Valerie said I could give her number for help with air bag problems: (313) 621-0641
  11. Any luck with taking it back? I had mine done, I knew something was wrong but thought it was my imagination.
  12. Another display planned for tomorrow afternoon at Ford World HQ. People who work may have problem getting there, except for the Ford guys, of course.
  13. So how did you observe National Mustang Day? Rain and ice at Ford World HQ. Tour of Mike's was warm and dry. Excellent lunch served by our friend Rich. BULLITT on the big screen was enjoyable. Jay Leno Garage trailer about upcoming episode featuring 2019 Bullitt Mustang. All in all, a good day despite the cold and damp.
  14. Kind of sad to see the Royal Pontiac car, they're building a hotel where the dealership was.
  15. Thank you. Any others would be appreciated.
  16. It's officially Spring as of 12:15 pm (1:45 in Newfoundland), time to plan for Summer. OK guys, need to visit aunt in Caledonia. Need cover story for insurance purposes to drive GT500. Last time used the Guelph Ribfest Car Show, but that's not 'til August. What have we got before then.
  17. Welcome aboard, Mr. MacArthur. What kind of travel interests you? Within Australia, Europe, the Americas, Antarctica?
  18. Please join Team Shelby Great Lakes Region, SAAC-MCR, MCC & MOCSEM for this year’s Motor City edition of the annual National Mustang Day on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Back by popular demand is the traditional meet-up & photo-op in front of Ford World Headquarters. We have extended the meet-up time to a full hour to allow for more socializing & picture taking. Next, and also by popular demand & tradition, we will caravan to Mike Berardi's awesome Mustang Collection to see old & new additions to his herd! Per tradition, lunch will be provided at Mike's by the host clubs, free of charge. New for this year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the theatrical release of the classic Mustang movie "Bullitt", will caravan to the Emagine Theater in Canton for a private screening of the movie, followed by a film festival style panel discussion about some of the behind the scenes insider info on how the original movie car was brought back out for public viewing this year. There will be a nominal fee for the theater rental, which includes luxury recliner seating with pop & popcorn - all at a discounted deal. Registration deadline is April 2nd, so we can reserve the proper size theater. You must reserve to participate, so we can also order the sufficient lunch quantities. Hope to see as many of you there as possible! 9:00 - 10:00 AM @ Ford WHQ - Meet-up, socializing, & photo-ops 10:00 - 10:30 AM Travel to Mike Berardi's Collection 10:30 - 11:30 AM Tour of Mike's Collection 11:30 AM -12:30 PM Lunch at Berardi's 12:30-1:00 PM Travel to Emagine theater in Canton 1:00-2:00 PM Reserved area parking & socializing, getting pop & popcorn, seats in theater 2:00-4:00 PM Private screening of "Bullitt" 4:00-4:30 PM Film festival style panel discussion about the original movie car on how they got it inside Ford once revealed & on the NAIAS display. 19. You really need to go to the pits more often.
  20. I did a quick look at the book on Amazon, Shelby would be so proud. New $29.83. USED $34.69.
  21. Holiday Party is now history. Excellent meal at Ford's Garage in Dearborn. Watched the Fords finish 1-2-3-4 at the Daytona Clash. Not the same as last summer, nobody had their top down.
