  6. The San Diego group will still meet at 9:45 AM at the Fontana location. Taking traffic into consideration so that we don't arrive late.

OK everyone from the greater San Diego area, here is the information about the cruise to Fontana from San Diego county: - 7:00 AM: Meet at North County Fair in Escondido (see John's message in this thread with the picture of the location) - 7:15 AM: Leave for Fontana to meet up with the SoCal Shelby Group If you do not want to cruise up with the group, be at the Fontana location by 9:45 AM: Panera Bread 15258 Summit Avenue, Fontana, CA 92336 Exit Beech Avenue off of the 15, turn left onto Beech Avenue. Look for the Panera at the corner of Beech and Summit. Driver's meeting will be at 10:15 AM and the group will leave at 10:30 AM to meet up in Barstow at the In-N-Out for lunch.

  14. This just in! JBA Speed Shop in San Diego is hosting the Ford Festival 2015 on October 23 - 25 for Ford enthusiasts and friends of JBA Speed Shop. Events will include tours and displays of Ford performance cars at the JBA Speed Shop located at 5675 Kearny Villa Road, San Diego, 92123, driving events including a road rally/poker run to Julian, poker run cruise around San Diego to Coronado, Sonic Drive-in Cruise, Microbrewery Happy Hour, chassis dyno challenge, car show, BBQ lunch, Ford Mustang burnout contest celebrity cars, car personalities and a book signing on Sunday featuring the new book, The Art of the Mustang from author Donald Farr and photographer Tom Loeser.   17. Bring back the dash plaques. They were given out at the earlier events. The commemorative die-cast is a good idea. Even though this really isn't a membership item, I would also like to see an event t-shirt for the bash brought back. There wasn't one last year.
  18. Attended the 2015 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this past weekend. Impressive collection of all kinds of vintage race cars, particularly a lot of original Shelby GT350s. Team Shelby was well represented at the event along with an impressive display of cars and merchandise from Shelby America. Bob Bondurant, Peter Brock, Allen Grant and John Morton were available to talk about the history of Shelby American and also graciously made themselves available for an autograph session. Thanks to Team Shelby, Team Shelby Pacific Coast Region and Shelby American for their hospitality.   20. The 2015 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will occur August 12 - 16 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. The marquee for this year's event is the Shelby GT350 Mustang.   23. 50 years ago today (July 4) Shelby American secured the World Manufacturers Championship with the Coba Daytona Coupe, CSX 2601, driven by Bob Bondurant and Jo Schlesser at Reims, France. A very historic day for Shelby American and the United States!
  24. The Cobra Owners Club of America Orange County (COCOA) hosted their 18th annual Concours De Nice at the Park Mall outside of the Westin Hotel located at South Coast Plaza on June 14. Shelby Automobiles included original Cobras and Shelby Mustangs, modern-age Shelby Automobiles and special interest cars. Former Shelby American driver and World Champion driver Allen Grant served as the Grand Marshall for the event. Lots of great cars on display.
