  8. This year's Bash was one of the better ones. I've attended all (except one) since the 85th and this one was pretty good. Having Honored guests Bob Bondurant, Peter Brock, Allen Grant, Chuck Cantwell and Ted Sutton as well as other former Shelby American employees share about the 1960s/70s era was great hearing about the history of Shelby America and the cars, can't get enough of that. Would like continue to see former Shelby employees attend future Bash events to extend the conversation of that period of Shelby/racing history. The new generation of Team Shelby has the responsibility to pass on the history of what Shelby did for international racing and performance automobile development.

  15. The popular Cars & Coffee Irvine (CA) event held every Saturday since 2006 has been closed. Saturday, December 27th was supposed to have been the last Cars & Coffee. Due to the tremendous overcrowding and safety issues that occurred at the December 20 event, it was decided to cancel the last Cars & Coffee on December 27th.   16. Kar Kraft will be building a limited run of seven continuation 1967 GT40 Mk IV cars that will be legal to race in HSR and SCRA.   17. Team Shelby Pacific Region - San Diego Chapter along with the Secret Car Club, JBA Speed Shop and SoCal SAAC delivered toys to Rady Children's Hospital San Diego on Saturday, December 20. There were enough toys to fill three rolling bins. We had several great cars help deliver the toys. The original Shelby American group that developed the prototype "R" Model GT350 have gotten together to build a one-of-a-kind Mustang the way they would have 50 years ago if they had the opportunity. This Mustang is being developed with the IRS rear end along with some additional design improvements, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first competition win of the GT350 at Green Valley Raceway by Ken Miles.   20. Dan Gurney was awarded the Edison-Ford Medal recently at the Henry Ford Museum in October, 2014. He is only the second recipient of this award which was establish in 1989.
