He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. Popping / clunk in front left

It happened to me too. Dealer lubed up the nylon bushings.
  2. 2006 Heritage Ford GT For Sale

Hmmm, not sure what happened. Edited and repasted the links and now they seem to work.
  3. 2006 Heritage Ford GT For Sale

This place is typically not a good place to sell something like this but who knows... There isn't a for sale topic for GTs so this will do The car is on consignment at Celebrity Cars in Las Vegas. Price there is very mushy. I'm going to take it back to bone stock before the plates come up and there will be a price reduction. Contact me directly. http://www.celebritycars.com/detail-2006-ford-gt-heritage_edition_-used-17035592.html They did a face book video
  4. School for car designers to hold open house

Is this the place where they had the reality show that Camilo was on?
  5. David's NEWS ROOM

Clickbait site. Ever hear of them before?
  6. Major flooding in Boulder County

Today is the 5th anniversary of the flood. I visited Lyons twice last week to visit with old friends at the local watering holes. Most of those whose homes were not destroyed remain. One of them rebuilt and moved when it became obvious that Lyons was going to change in irrevocable ways (we spent an afternoon and the night with them in Loveland). Another rebuilt the home his mother and he (and now his sister and niece) live in. The house is not flood plain compliant so someone else will have to worry about it. The mother has a reverse mortgage on it so it will be someone else's problem. For the most part, all of those who left town with flood damage have not returned. I just saw an article that said that 27% of the town's current population weren't there when the flood happened. Anyone who left stands virtually no chance of returning. Real estate prices have skyrocketed in the last two years, so those that left with FEMA money to rent/buy a new residence elsewhere, if they intended on returning, have been priced out of the local market. I did get a hair cut this spring before pool season. It got too long to mess with getting tangled in the water.
  7. Shelby Party

I try to video those sessions but didn't hear that they had started it and I was eating a bit of lunch. By the time I got there I think Aaron Shelby was speaking but I missed most of it and then got Brock on my GoPro. I'll check to see how it turns out later in the week when I can get the camera cards onto my computer - I forgot the adapter widgets.
  8. Shelby Party

Some fantastic new additions to the collection. GT40 #p1016 is now part of the collection as is a new Ford GT (one that was for sale at Mecum that was a did not meet reserve but was sold after the hammer fell). Both purchased by Greg Miller. Millers now own 2 of the 3 first 3 finishers at Le Mans in 1966. I have some pics too but am still in Colorado and won't be able to process the raw until I get back to Vegas. The highlight of the "old timers stories" was Peter Brock on the history of the Daytona Coupe. I'd heard it several times before (and of course, everyone has read about it) but every time I hear Peter tell the story new little tidbits fill in more blanks. The winner of the GT350R lottery was actually present. He didn't answer the call after the drawing so Volk called the number on the ticket. The guy's wife answered and told them he was at the party! They tracked him down inside.
  9. Airbag Recall Notice

You have no choice but to get it done by a dealer. A Ford Service department is the only one that can claim the parts from Ford and are the only ones that can clear the OASIS recall once the part is charged to the car. There are unsubstantiated claims that some have obtained the parts from the parts department and done it themselves but so far none are in the first person (in other words, "I heard from a friend who knows someone that knows someone that claims they did it themselves" vs "I did it myself", or even a "I helped my neighbor do it"
  10. Airbag Recall Notice

What are they going to do, get some gorilla glue and caulk the crack? They need to replace the parts. Period. Just a hint to others having the work done: Take pictures of the steering wheel center and the passenger side top cover and bottom area before bringing it to the dealer.
  11. Pricing in a free fall.

How does the price of a similarly priced vehicle say BMW compare? the gt500 I had just become another depreciating volume production car. no real surprise.
  12. You are unlikely to get an answer here since the people that can answer don't really frequent here any more. (Steve being the occasional exception, but it could be months before he comes back for another purpose.) So why don't you call Shelby American, ask the questions, and post the responses for everyone?
  13. Didn't see this coming!

Gary is a long time Shelby American employee, who now shares the title of President of Shelby American and lead test driver
  14. Called to check on mine for the Ford GT. I was told that I had the reacall done :). Seems that someone used the wrong VIN in a air bag swap on a house call (which is allowed on Ford GTs.) Several hours tracking down the mystery dealer and when I found out where he was I knew exactly what happened. Now Ford has to get the OASIS entries corrected - so that his has it recorded as being done and mine is clear so my dealer can order the parts.
  15. Shelby gt350 5w50 oil

I never understood this about trying to save a buck or two a quart over the Ford oil. I didn't get oil changes at the dealer. My mechanic just got it from the Ford dealer at a price that was less than the retail price and the dealer even delivered it.
