  1. So I've been in perpetual restoration mode (restomod) for about 10 years on my 1970 Boss 302. A lot of work has been done yet there is a lot of work to do on what has been a frame up remake of the whole car. I'd say 95% of all the metal work is complete. I have all the peices to the car from the orginal restoration I did when I first got it. That is, the complete interior, suspension and drive train. Other then a relatively cheap paint job at the time I didn't do much with the body. This time I'm doing the complete job. Anyway, I'm depending on some folks who don't quite see it the same priority as I do. That's my bad for putting a lot of money out front and trying to do business with friends. Now I'm 10 years down the road and still no car and along comes the new Boss 302. I really like the car and despite my love for the old school muscle car there is no denying the superior nature of modern technology. I'm certina if I tried to bail out of my 1970, I would lose my rear. We all know how much money you can wrap up in one of these things. Still there is a part of me that is saying if I can get out of it and in a new one at near even money maybe I should. Maybe I'm just tired of waiting and watching everyone else enjoy thier cars. It's probably a stretch anyway to think I could get enough money out of my project Boss to cover a 2013. Thoughts? Here are some project pics:

  3. That stinks. Hopefully it will remain an option for future SDAC events.
  4. 15K for +40hp? Ouch. Still I like the idea of Shelby working on any economy/performance platform. I'm sure we could find somemore ponies in there some where. http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/2013-shelby-focus-st-offers-big-power-article-1.1245930
  5. That is one sweet Charger. Immaculate! My jaw nearly hit the pavement when you pulled in with the entire rig. Very Cool!
  6. It was indeed a great event. Thank you all for making everyone feel like part of the Shelby family. Let’s hope the comradery amongst Shelby cousins continues to grow.
  7. Spring 85x2, 86, 87x2, 88, 89x2 black/silver, black, black, white, red all hardtops
  8. I'm thinking the Birthday Car would be a nice addition to the museum. Does any body at SAI or TS have any thoughts on that?
  9. Definitely we need to do that. I'm not sure how we missed at Terlingua. Sadly, Cindy will not be in attendance, but I am looking forward to seeing you folks also.
  10. That would be really cool. However, as it stands the best I can do is arrive Friday evening. I just revised all of my business travel arrangements to accommodate the weekend. I'll be there but without a Shelby. I will be arriving Friday evening hopefully in time for the party.

  12. Well patience has never been one of my strong points. It’s a little difficult to fathom that more cars won't equate to more money and a better event. I suppose there are some idiotic folks who threaten to pull support if a Shelby Dodge is allowed. Then there are those afraid of being spanked by a turbo 4cly. FWD car. I do appreciate your comments and I have taken a wait and see attitude toward the whole thing. With Team Shelby offering so many opportunities, it is virtually a non-issue....the principle of the matter not withstanding. I may in fact make it to the Vegas Bash albeit without a car. Perhaps I’ll get an opportunity to drive a new Shelby Mustang or ride along with someone else. Either way it would be worth the trip just to visit the Museum.
  13. Cool, depending on client needs, I'll put that on my agenda.... UPDATE: I just revised all of my business travel arrangements to accommodate the weekend. I'll be there but without a Shelby. I will be arriving Friday evening hopefully in time for the party.
  14. I was really hoping to make it to this but I just found out I have to work in Corona SoCal from Jan.4 thru Jan.10. Who all is going to be there. Looks like I'll miss your meeting in SoCal also.
