He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
  2. I enjoy taking the gang for rides and also looking over and smiling. I would miss the original signatures on my passenger side as well. With the exception of Cleo, they are all the ones on the original certificate the GT-H owners got back in 2006.
  3. All-New Shelby GT - video

    I know. Just being a smart A**
  4. All-New Shelby GT - video

Get a GT-H that has never been rented. Kinda confusing, headlines are SGT and cars are GT-H's. I'll stop there. That said, they do look good!
  5. Post here if you own a GT/SC

Not sure if I posted here so FYI, 06H0050 GT-H/SC done back in Sept/Oct 2009 at Shelby @ their Las Vegas Motor Speedway facility. Paxton serial # 066 (kind of cool) Thanks Bud Man, Amy, Gary P & Gary D. Exciting times back then. Had everyone on the GT-H certificate that owners get sign my dash along with Cleo Shelby.
  6. Didn't see this coming!

Folks can now buy and or order a GT-H and say its never been in the rental fleet. Carry on!
  7. Airbag Recall Notice

Finally took 06H0050 for passenger side airbag recall. Drivers side was already done. Now all done I hope.
  8. Love the SGT and the white & gold option. Now a GT-H for "Heritage", not so much. Really is confusing IMO. That said, I guess the owners of those who get one can say "my GT-H was never in the rental fleet". Oh, wait, its a Heritage edition not a HERTZ edition so of course it would not be a rental. Hey maybe add a Heritage emblem where the HERTZ emblem were mounted. For me its all about the connection of the 1966 Hertz program and what the 2006 GT-H program did for Shelby. Kick start the company again. It will hold a special spot in Shelby automotive history. The new GT-H cannot take that away.
  9. I beleive the throttle body is the stock one on all 2006 GT Mustangs. Shelby did not change the throttle body. However, the 91 0ctane tune was uploaded when the Ford Racing cold air intake kit was installed. Search this site as there is a lot of info here. I do not have the Ford Racing part # accessible at this time. Good luck with the project and share some pictures.
  10. This thread triggered someone to reach out to me about the trans. Person needed one for their car which is a manual car. So I sold it. Figured piece meal sourcing would be a PIA. Guess if I were to do it, I would just buy the entire swap kit and locate a HURST shifter. I do have a TCI ratchet shifter that I have never installed. Its plug and play. Maybe some day I'll install it. If anyone does this swap, please reach out and share the experience.
  11. Never really bought the car for future value. Heck they are cheap now. Mine has a Terlingua deep draw hood, Shelby installed Paxton (GTH/SC), Shelby Bear brakes, painted over top stripes etc so its not original anymore. That said, I do have all take off parts. I guess only time will tell. That said the swap would be cool. However, so much easer with the older non computer cars. In addition, the older HERTZ cars with the auto swapped still bring a premium so should history repeat itself the tranny swap may not be an issue unless concours judging. I most likely will not be around to see those values if they really do happen.
  12. Well, I was given a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission out of a wrecked 2007 Shelby GT. Just the tranny that has been sitting a while. Car had about 28K on odometer before it was wrecked and parted. Trans was in a garage of a house that was being sold. Owner, said take it and its yours to clean out garage. One of a few last items. Did find some powered by ford badges and the front grill emblem and rear Shelby letters as well. Nothing else. So I took it. No bell housing, hydraulic throw out bearing, master with reservoir, lines, flywheel, pedal box, wiring, computer sensors etc. That said, wonder how difficult to acquire these parts to make a auto to manual conversion. Looks like a complete 2005-2010 Mustang GT 3V new automatic to Tremec 3650 conversion kit with all necessary parts to include trans is about 5K. Most likely more hassle than it would be worth but putting a 5speed manual in the GT-H/SC would be cool.
