  1. Hiya, There are a few people on here that are in the UK. I've chatted to two of them here. I am over in Cambridgeshire and occasionally pop into the various car shows in the area. As for my car, I've got a 08 GT500 Blue/white. I see you are buying one, have you got it yet or still shopping? cheers Drew
  2. Hiya, Don't know if this helps but I can get them in the UK. I'll PM you. cheers Z
  3. That is the dealer Ford sold the car to. Its shown on the lower left on the window sticker. It popped up on some used car lots in the Houston area. Hopefully the owner will PM me. and if you must know......... There's loads of money hidden under the back seat
  4. It was sold to Randall Reeds Planet Ford in Humble Texas and is a 2008 GT500 Coupe in Performance White/Blue stripes. Cheers Andrew
  5. I've wondered about this too. surely you won't be the first person to switch from SGTs to KRs on a otherwise stock exhause system. I've been interested mainly because I want something a tad quieter than the SGTs. Hopefully someone will chime in......
  6. Where do the KRs fall with regards to the the SGTs? louder or quieter? I've currently got the SGTs on the stock exhaust and want something a tad quieter. I have tried the SVT1s and as mentioned they are just a little bit louder than stock. I would like to find something in between the SVT1s and SGTs. will the KRs fit the bill? cheers Drew
  7. What three mufflers have you tried? I've got the SGTs and want something just a tad quieter. Ideally I think I want to be somewhere between the SVT1 and SGTs for sound with no drone.
  8. looks good but whos signature is on the dash plaque? and do you want a dash plaque thats more a advert for mustang concepts along with their phone number on your dash?
  9. The red light will be the rear fog light and the white one most likely is the backup light. That is if the light conversion changed the original rear back up lights to amber for the turn signals like we do in the UK Nice pics. Did you do a late night photo shoot and shoot off before anyone caught you?
  10. I'll send some reading material out through the military mail system tomorrow from England. Got a bunch of car mags for ya. cheers Drew
  11. oh brother, not another one! :D And so close to where I live too! haha, very nice pictures! Then one you sent to my phone was tiny compared to these few pics. looking forward to seeeing it on the road or at a show ! Cheers Drew
  12. there are a few mustang GT shelby GT500s in the UK. My only problem is when asked some owners say it is indeed a GT500 when its a mustang GT. I've decided to inform the public by sticking the Vin decoder sheet from Ford in the window next to the Cert of Auth. That way they can check for the T88/T89 in the vin themselves
  13. a few things that are unique to being in England 1. no roadside assist if you break down. unlike everyone in the USA who will get thier car towed to a Ford dealer for warranty work. 2. no warranty. exported Fords (unless US military personel etc ) lose thier warranty. 3. import duty and Value Added Tax on parts, to include shipping and insurance costs $$$ 4. possibly no shop with experience in doing the TSB. Or in Europe. this works both ways. I think you guys are missing the original question. replace the FLYWHEEL before it warps. If the flywheel is the root cause of the problems related to the TSB and you can afford it, why not? All the "if it aint broke dont fix it" people are not going to be out of reach of a Fordd dealership in the USA or Fords roadside assist. I am lucky in that I work for the USAF and can have my car fixed under warrranty if it breaks. however, on a recent trip to Italy from England I was quite concerned. if I had flywheel/clutch/synchro issues getting stuck in traffic I would be screwed. If replacing the flywheel with a aftermarket one keeps the clutch and synchros from wearing prematurely I'd think that would be good to do.
  14. I called at the start of the year and ordered the GT500 certificate and window sticker from SVT and mistakenly was sent a window sticker for a different car. When I called back the person I talked to had a look around but could not locate my VIN# in the window stickers they had there. Strangely, after I gave them the VIN on the incorrect sticker they told me it had not been ordered by anyone. They went on to say that there was nothing else they could do and gave me a refund. I'd rather have the window sticker. So, why cant they just make another one? Is there some reason they can only reprint one per car? cheers Drew
  15. Mine would snag when you turned the key but has gotten worse these last few days. I was stuck at the petrol station and after quite a few attempts found it worked after I quickly inserted key while trying to turn it. strange...
