I received a set of CSR bezels and their custom FL frame rail brackets they fabricated to work with the PIAA lights.

My son is fabricating a bracket to fit 07-09 GT500 fog-lights that will attach to the CSR frame rail bracket. He's also modifying a set of OEM brake dust shields to accept the brake duct hose. Hope to have it done in a few weeks, their shop is slammed right now so his time is limited, dad always gets put on the waiting list.

Maybe if you paid him, you might move to the front of the line :)

The Bangastang cover you show is no longer available unfortunately. The only other options that I know of are from JLT or CPC, however they don’t extend as far into the engine compartment. While Bangastang had their issues the cover was a fantastic piece.

Agreed great piece but horrible custom per service

Well it seems like another California Paxton owner is in the same situation. Their Paxton equipped SGT won't pass California smog check because the cat monitors are turned off.

The Paxton's previously did not have a problem passing California smog checks but that was before California changed over to OBD Inspections from the previous tailpipe inspections.

The problem now is how to you get California to recognize that they signed off on Paxton's computer tune when they issued EO D-195-21

    Wish I had the answer.

    time to move....SGT/SC>CA

Candidly, while I have the tools to do it myself, I am not going to.  There is a place here in San Diego (Mission Bay Classics) that does work of a quality I could only dream of matching.  The car is going to them to have the stripes painted on and for them to do the hood.

    Nothing wrong with this approach

Thank you, Andrew.  Much appreciated.  I had a friend in Phoenix pick up the hood scoop from Chip personally and, while he was there, Chip allowed his 12 year old son to sit in both his 2006 and 2018/2019 Ford GTs.  I am looking forward to getting my car, 2008 SGT/SC, all fixed up and then take it back down to Terlingua in 2020 for the high speed run.  We did 172 back in 2013 and it had a bit more left (I think).  I'm sure the new hood scoop will make it either go faster or look like it's going faster.  Thank you again.

My pleasure, just relax and breath when you break out the saw and cut the hood  buy the rivnut tool

This is an old thread for certain but I have a favor if any of you can help.

I was fortunate enough to buy Chip Beck's last hood scoop (he thought they were all gone but he found one somewhere in his garage).

The favor I ask has to do with locating the thread where Chip posted photos of every step of the process of replacing the hood scoop and making it functional.  I am in the process of having my stripes painted on (I know, I know, it's about time) and doing the hood scoop at the same time.

Thanks in advance if you can help.  Hope everyone is well as Thanksgiving approaches.

I too have a chip beck hood scoop rivnuts are your friend

We've asked you before to please include in the thread title if the "Cobra" is a replica and if so the manufacturers name.

Using this post as an example your tread title reads "1965 Shelby Cobra " when the car in question was NOT built in 1965, was NOT produced by Shelby American and is NOT a Cobra.

Future posts will now be deleted if this info is not included in the thread title.

    Appreciate your cooperation on this.

    thank you

That's what I'm saying but not sure if the rears will work. Continental makes a good all-season tire as well, see if they have a closer size but I remember they didn't for my Mustang. Another possibility is buying a set of wheels for street use, 1/2 inch narrower would hook you up with the Michelins.

Get another set of wheels and have 2 sets one for summer and one for winter

Here is a current eBay link to a Ford flip key, scroll down in the auction and you will see some manufacturer part numbers, one should match the oem number on the back of your original fob.

The Shelby fob emblems? that is a different story, they were listed on eBay quite a while back, maybe two years ago, then the disappeared. Then there was a relist of them about 6 months ago and they have disappeared again.

    Here are Ford fob emblems.....

While I was searching for your info. I came across these SVT fob emblems, I order a pair to see how they look, correct Red color SVT, etc.

  10. I had hot rod cams with my Paxton and switched to Detroit rockers

i prefer the drive-ability and low rpm idle of the Detroit rockers

I made too many simultaneous changes to equate horse power

to me they sound very close and very glad I made the switch

Hey guys, the wife and I were shopping so we had to stop at the local Walmart to pick some things up.  As I usually do, I had to check out the die-cast aisle and also the Hot Wheels to see if anything turns my crank.    Well, as luck would have it, “Bingo” I got lucky by total accident.  I was checking out a very large display filled to the hilt with new hot wheels and I noticed a few just sitting on top of the display box.   Well I reached up and took one to look at and there it was: “Bingo”!!!!!!!!      :banvictory:    I don’t think I need to say more, see for yourself!                           Later guys!                       Mongoose       :peelout:
