Looks like it damaged the entire right front hood alignment, paint etc... Ouch!

I like the customization you did on this car. White w/black stripes, window louvers, painted and striped front valance and gas cap looks great.

thanks and yup really stupid but what the heck

    Hello All,

I'm the proud 2nd owner of a 2007 Shelby GT.  I like to do my own maintenance on my cars so I know it is done right.  My question is about the "Ford Racing" Cold Air Intake that was installed by Shelby on these particular cars.  Do I remove the filter and replace it, if so, where do I find the replacement?  The filter element is silver colored unlike the K & N filters which are orangeish-red.   I've heard that these filters may be removed and cleaned(?)  If that is the case how do I clean it.  I've seen some K & N filter cleaner in a spray bottle at the auto parts stores, is this compatible?

By the way, I haven't waited 11 years to clean the intake, I've had the car for about 3 years and put about 1K miles on it.   Any suggestions or expert advice is much appreciated.  Thank you.

It was made for Ford by Steeda and the filter was originally blue, clean it or  just to replace it with what ever makes you happy. i like to use the blue amsoil filters. I don’t remember the part # but not hard to figure out with a few measurements.

So I am getting a supercharged application soon. What kind of upgrade in brakes should I be looking at or should I be fine. I just want to keep it on the safe side just in case.

This has been discussed numerous times and it really depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend.  a good first step is stainless steel brake lines, better fluid, better pads and you can up grade the rotors is you wish and this allow you to keep your original wheels.

If you want to go big brakes then you probably will have to do a wheel change and lots of options for big brakes from GT500 Brembo take offs, Baer, Wilwood and Vorshlag has good all have good options

I went down the route of Wilwood and 07 GT500 OEM wheels

I did. Just 100 rounds. Much different than my Walther. The trigger especially. Nice having 19 rds. The grip is too aggressive. Might have to either wear gloves or put on a grip wrap. Great sights! And  like the color! Going to shoot it some more later in the week. Shot the four corners and the center. Started at the center. Ended lower left.

Nice, lots of folks out there to modify glock grips and all mine have had a 3.5lb Ghost trigger job

Wow how can you tell just by looking at the back where & when it was made weave, thread pattern

    Correct,

This was made on an older machine that doesn’t have thread trimmers, hence the longer white bobbin threads, the white coarse weaved backing isn’t used anymore.
