He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2019, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. Hood Pin Thread

Anyone replace their '07 hood pin kit with Shelby Parts kit (http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/S1MS-16892-SSK.htm)? Does their kit incorporate the aluminum screws or are they still stainless screws? I'm trying to avoid a repeat of the corrosion after I get the hood fixed or replaced. Speaking of fixed, I read here that several had their hoods fixed through the warranty. That's no longer an option, but how were the repairs...how did they turn out? Were you satisfied, did they last? One Ford body shop says hey can repair the hood, the other says to replace it? What would you recommend after your experience ... repair or replace hood?
  2. I have the dissimilar metal corrosion on my hood from the hood pins (both). One Ford body shop says they can fix it and another says I need to replace the hood. What have you guys done? Can the aluminum hood be properly repaired? Recommendation?
  3. Okay, stripes it is. Noticed American Muscle's stripes are wider than stock. Anyone making the correct size?
  4. I've got a white 2007 SGT with silver stripes and the stripes faded and cracked big time . I removed the stripes (and scoop) and was going to just replace them with GT500 style stripes from American Muscle. However, I have to repaint the hood due to the dissimilar metal corrosion from the hood pins. That got me thinking about a stripe delete (except for the side stripe) configuration. What are your thoughts on leaving the stripes off and painting the hood scoop white to match? Or should I go ahead and put the stripes back on? If I do put the stripes back on, should I do them under the hood scoop too or have the shop cut the stripes around it? I ask the last question because of the pain to get the scoop off again down the road if I needed to restripe again. I was wanting to go with the original Shelby American stripes, but they are very expensive. Has anyone used American Muscle's? Any other places?
