  1. I've run Borla Touring, Borla ATAK, Ford Racing KR's, MACs, Bassanis and Magnaflows searching for that perfect sound. ATAK's are louder than the GTA's when you are on the gas but around town they are great same with the KR's. The Borla Tourings have a deeper tone and similar sound to the GTA's. Macs and magnaflow sound great but drone like crazy so I wasn't a fan. My current setup is a set of bassani's. They have a dual tip like the GTA's deep sound and no drone. They are not as loud as the ATAK or KR's . Search my content I've posted a bunch of exhaust videos on my quest for the perfect muffler. Good luck. https://lmr.com/item/BE-4607SR5/Bassani-Mustang-Gt-Gt500-Stainless-Steel-Race-Axle-Back http://www.bassani.com/part/4607SR5
  2. Tom, I've run the Steeda Tri-Ax on my 2007 SGT and it was a huge upgrade over the Hurst shifter that came in our cars. I'm now running the MGW and couldn't be happier. Good luck with your decision.
  3. SGT grille. Is this the same as the polished grille? If so I’ll take it $250 shipped to Colorado 80134. Ready to buy now.

  4. Peter's story was amazing! I picked up his book and had him sign it. The winner being present was fantastic as well. Sorry I should have put this in the discussion forum instead of tech.
  5. A few shots from the Shelby Museum in Boulder this past weekend. I was fortunate enough to get Aaron Shelby to sign my SGT along with Gary Patterson.
  6. Thanks for showing the way!! Kick myself for not getting it done sooner. I've had it scheduled like 3-4 times but the weather would turn bad or something would come up. I was always worried at the track that one of the band clamps would come loose at high speed and dump the tail pipe into to pavement causing who knows how much damage to the underside of the car. I actually put a clamp and bracket around the pipe and attached it to the bolts holding my drive shaft loop in place. Gave me some sense of security. No more worries or rattles.
  7. So I've had the clamps for well over a year and finally got around to taking it in to a shop for the install. Local Meineke that did a great job building a dual system on my 03 F150 did the work and they did a good job. Pricey at $220 but no more rattles and no more stupid band clamps.
  8. bump for SPP build it and we will buy
  9. Hey SPP we would love the CS8 grille back again...
  10. Love it great job and congrats on a beautiful car. Do tell more about the hood.
  11. For those that decide to do this sound system upgrade you do remove the amps from behind the shaker 1000 sub.
  12. Thanks I'm doing the sub this weekend then I'll do the door speakers etc next month.
  13. Quick question for those that have upgraded the rear trunk sub with the lighter/smaller ka-10 system. Do you leave the existing amps that are mounted behind the stock sub in place or are those removed? I have the new sub arriving today and I'm looking over the instructions and I don't see any mention of the old amps/harness etc.
  14. I've run the FR500S, ATAK and I currently run the Bassani's. I've got long tubes and I run it with and without cats. The FR500's are nice but they crackle a lot and for me I didn't like the tips (3.5") compared to the 4" tips of the other offerings. The ATAK's are fantastic sounding with cats, but without cats they were a little over the top for me. I finally settled on the Bassani's as they have a nice deep tone and the newer models have a nice 4" tip that is similar to the GTA's. None of these setups drone. Here are some videos all with catted x pipe. 15. I've got the original premium wheel if you are interested.
  16. Thanks love the look and feel can't wait to see how it feels actually driving.
  17. So the install was super easy, since the wheel I received had the speed control buttons already installed. Take out the module fuse (#17) in the fuse panel on the passenger side footwell. Disconnect the battery wait a few minutes and then remove the airbag from the wheel. Once the airbag is out disconnect the horn and take out the bolt holding the wheel. Reverse everything for the install. The wheel is noticeably thicker where the two side spokes are( 3 and 9). Grant did a nice job building up this area and then I love the flat top and bottom of the wheel. You can see the gray area above the spokes that was built up but the back side behind the spokes is also built up (thicker and shaped really well. The entire wheel feels a little thicker than stock. It's snowing like crazy outside so I will have to wait for an official test drive.
  18. Swapping out my stock Premium Steering Wheel for this Grant wheel!! Love the look and feel! Unfortunately Grant is no longer offering this wheel. I found one at Mustangs Unlimited for $475!!
  19. The rotors I picked up were unmarked so I looked at some pictures to verify mine were installed correctly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU0U-XBcrMY I haven't had a chance to bed mine yet as the roads are messed up after a recent snow.
  20. I just picked up a set of Baer 14" 2 piece rotors for my Brembo package and I know the rotors are specific to left and right any chance you have the rotors flip flopped?
  21. Thanks, getting ready for some up coming track days. I've previously upgraded the clutch line to a braided line, and for whatever reason I didn't put in a separate clutch reservoir? So when I saw this I figured it would be a good idea, and I like the cool factor.
  22. So I was doing some maintenance and decided to install the Shelby clutch reservoir. I was flushing the old brake fluid out and putting some new in along with some new pads and thought this would be a good addition to the car. Pretty easy install.
  23. I ran the Faye's system and liked it but it was a little noisey. Currently running the BMR system and love it, much easier to setup than the Faye's and no noise.
