  1. American Collectors Insurance....associated with USAA. If need be, I'll get USAA involve but...perhaps ACO will step up and do the right thing. Its the underwriter that is the issue which is Assurant. My recommendation is always ask who underwrites claims when looking for this type of insurance. It was the first and last project my father in law and I worked on together as he passed in 2017 so there's more sentimental value than actual value. But sometimes after talking to the underwriter, I feel that way.
  2. For those that have this type of insurance, I was wondering how those that had to make a claim (or never have) would view the listed items as being covered or not. I had a non Shelby stolen a little over a year ago and still fighting the insurance company. All the below list was part of the recent supplemental that was denied. 1) Speakers were stolen. The thief (or thieves) parted out the radio and the speakers. At the time of recovery, the police only noted the radio as they had put the covers back on the speaker covers back over the doors and rear. The insurance company says the covers were in place in the photos, so they must have been there. Denied. Cost to investigate if the wiring and Bose amps inside the door still okay....denied. 2) Floor mats. I had an extra set in the back. They stole the ones on the floor and the extras in back. The extras covered under spare parts. The ones on the floor...denied. 3) Original keys gone. When we recovered the car (in 30 hours btw....thief was found when he ran out of gas 3 miles from the scene and trooper stopped to help), only the spare set was in it. The originals were missing. $5 paid for a new set of keys. OEM keys, replacement ignition, and replacement door locks/glove box locks denied. 4) I had a spare passenger visor in the back. They paid that under spare parts. The original one in place...denied. I requested a driver's side too as the replacement no longer matched the driver's side. Denied. 5) New battery missing. Thieves kept the new and put in an old one. Replacement battery denied. 6) I had a spare armrest/console cover...not the best shape but covered under the spare parts. The original one was still there but they broke it breaking the lock to get into the console. Denied. I think you get the picture. They market themselves as collectors insurance but are very shady to deal with. Wish me luck as I don't give up easily but just wondering what others think. Once done with this claim, I'll finish out my coverage for the period and then over to a more reputable and experienced in collector cars. Chad
  3. Bought all from Shelby Store except Roush gauge mount and switches/wire.

  5. Well I am finally done with the install. It became a lot more elaborate when I decided to create my own wire harness going to 6 different sensors and added a 4 gauge in the vent. The Shelby gauge in the Roush mount monitors multiple sensors depending on the position of the selector switch mounted below the headlight switch. It defaults to engine oil temp. I really like how it came out. Note that the gauges all have LED white bulbs that I bought at 4 Wheel Parts online. They had the cheapest I could fine. Anyone have questions on my install, please feel free to contact me. Thanks, ShelbyLee
  6. Try sending out an email to Chris R or call Jeremy at the Shelby Store (Option 2). Explain the situation and they should fix it. They fixed mine at no cost.
  7. Thanks everyone. Chris helping me out on getting the missing part.
  8. Ordered the 3 gauge pillar package some time ago and installing this weekend. I didn't notice that the Fuel Gauge Adapter was not included but its either missing or SPP doesn't include it. I know the Oil Gauge Adapter manifold is not but thought the fuel one was included. Anybody else know? SPP Customer Service not open this weekend so kind of stuck for now. Thanks!
  9. Just wondering if anyone has done this to their GT500. I know people have done the swap from non-Nav to OEM Nav for the same year. I can do that for my 2012 but wondering if their is any further advantage of doing it with a 2013 next generation Nav. Not sure of the added difficulty. Thanks for any input.
  10. I got the Super Snake gauge package (A Pillar) for my 2012 (non-SS) but the instructions from SPP are for a 2005-2008. Can anyone send me a photo of how they mount the oil manifold on the 2010-2012's? I assume under the alternator somewhere but how and to what? Much appreciated. Again please, photos. Thanks, Chad
  11. So here are the photos. Do I have it correct? Comments please. Thanks!
  12. Can someone with a 2010 -2012 send me pics of the A pillar trim and weatherstripping already installed? I took both the driver and passenger trim out some time ago to install gauges and wires and want to make sure I got it right. I believe the trim goes atop the weather stripping and not the other way around. Also, a closeup of the overlap for the very front of the trim and the left side of the dash would be appreciated. I think the narrow extension of the A pillar trim goes behind the side footwell trim. Much appreciated!
  13. I recommend checking to see if the signatures are autopen or the real mccoy. Both are good in my opinion but the real mccoy signatures add a little more to the value.
  14. I usually went once a month with my oldest when he was home visiting from CO. I couldn't go on Dec 20 so had planned on Dec 27 only to find it cancelled. Haven't seen anything on Tustin yet as the current information was they were considering several OC sites. Can you send me the new location? Is it official and still on the down low or just a test run for now?
