  1. The deck lid on my trunk has come loose (2013) anyone have info on how to secure it.
  2. Not Sure if I'm going yet, but if so I will be driving from Cedar Park, TX (just North of Austin). I'd probably head up to Lubbock where my son is at Texas Tech then go up through Clovis and head across on I40.
  3. Here it is on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Maisto-Shelby-Mustang-Control-Vehicle/dp/B00Y53XW6W
  4. Getting into Watsonville on Wednesday evening. Anything going on before 3pm on Thursday?
  5. Actually, the books are based on a 1976 radio series, which I believe to be superior. It is available on iTunes I believe, although being an old timer I have it on CD from about 20 years ago. Megadodo Publications and all that.

  7. Captain Beyond, look here. Terlingua Racing Team licensed door magnets. With and without a number. http://thestablealpine.com/others/
  8. I have had rock dings hole my stripes at the front of the hood. I have used white plasti-dip to repair it. Not perfect, but good from a few feet away. Plasti-dip peels off again very easily so no lating mark on the underlying paint.
  9. I have the Katzkin interior upgrade in my 2013 GTS. I cannot comment on the match against he original color since my car went straight to SAI before I ever saw it, but it matches well against the rest of the interior of the car. The quality is good and after 3 years seems to be wearing well, certainly better than the Ford supplied leather seats in my '08 GT did at equivalent age.
  10. I have used Ammo (www.ammonyc.com) cleaning and waxing products with great success. Lots of "how to" detail videos. Any questions I have fielded to them were personally answered by Larry. I have used Adams products too, I slightly prefer the Ammo products for the outside of the car, but reckon they work out a little more expensive. I tend to use Adam's products for internal detailing though. Adam's have messed up my order a couple of times (but to be fair always eventually sorted it out, at no additional cost) On a slightly different topic, If anyone has problems with bug splatter in summer Jax Wax (www.jaxwax.com) make an excellent product called Bugzapper that cleans then of in a few seconds (assuming you are doing a wash imminently)
  11. Many Thanks, Steven. I would point out that I spent quite a bit more than the base $12,500. I guess the main difference in price of the current offerings and the GTS is the use of Carbon Fiber over Fiberglass and the mandatory inclusion of the cast 20" wheels. Seems like there is now a preference to outsource the body parts rather than cast the fiberglass themselves. The upshot being that I would have to spend 25% more than I did previously to get a Shelby GT (rather than a GTS) but wouldn't have the brake upgrade, the engine caps or the interior upgrade. To get approximately the same as what I ordered would be about +70% on what I spent. To be fair that would have carbonfiber vs fiberglass body parts, and both better wheels and brakes. however that a lot more cash.
  12. Black with yellow hood and stripe would be my choice.
  13. This thread started with the original GTS flyer, I was trying to find the 2013 flyer that included the V8 options (to go with my car), Does anyone have a scan of it? Thanks Stewart
  14. If you are in Austin, I have had found the service department at Covert Ford on 183 to be reliable and honest with both my Mustangs, our focus and the F-150 (purchasing a car (non-Mustang) was also a relatively pleasant straightforward process). I always get the same guy at the Service department, but I can't remember his name. I would stay clear of Mak Haik Ford in Georgetown though, my experience with them both with the Service/Parts dept. and the new car sales group was been considerably less pleasant. I wouldn't go as far as saying they were dishonest, but it was close.
  15. Nice looking car, welcome to the GTS owners club.
