  1. Sorry if I didn't explain myself correctly, but my install was only on how you install the cutout the cat and muffler remains unless you want fix it tickets. As I live in California all equipment must be on the vehicle and work, so I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.
  2. I had a 1967 Thunder Bolt and what I found is Fords like to breathe and we would run the cutoffs straight off and out the end of the collector, this way it's just like your at the race track. The normal exhaust system would be like QTP electric cutout system coming off the straight cutout at a 33 degree angle going back to any street required equipment and mufflers. Now this system is built for maximum horsepower just like your at the race track and you would have to pay attention to too much back pressure on how you come off the cutout when using it on the street. With these new motors and electronic computer timing systems anything you do on the front end or back end of these motors you must check the fuel mixture for being lean or rich. Timing should be played with for more power since your now your utilizing the headers and the motor can now breathe. Of course it's LOUD!
  3. For someone who lives in California and comes with so many regulations and laws I was ignorant on all your Countries requirements on what's admissible or inadmissible "Holy Shit" on what type of automobile you can import. Why so many regulations? I just lost a stock clutch with only 1500 miles and I'm not sure why until I get into it, I can say I just purchased a McLeod RXT clutch, aluminum flywheel. I'm not sure if 850hp was to much for a stock clutch, but I was assured when I had the Super Snake upgrades done at Shelby that it would be okay. I purchased all of my parts at CJ Pony as I believe they have the best prices.
  4. No I'm not going to park or sell it for you and I'm not going to talk about politics because this is not the venue for it. I'm sure you can find plenty of people on social media who think exactly like you so you will have plenty of topics to talk about and if your desire to sequester your daughters Honda that's your business. Also there is no way to disable any airbags on a 2014 GT500 and why would I want to disable the passenger side airbag when I have one in my face. Un -Identified Individuals
  5. Why not send yours to Vegas and have the upgrades done, that's what I did.
  6. Your deduction on risk management is flawed in itself by looking at total number of airbags to ones that are defective coming to a conclusion that total number of lives saved for those that may be considered at risk? I'm not talking about passengers or side airbags and definitely not talking about any Nissan vehicles I'm talking about Shelby owners. I have a GT that's capable of speeds over 200 mph and a quarter mile ets of 10:50 139 mph and I don't need another thing to think about on a piss poor airbag you'll think was made in China not Japan. I or any other muscle car owner should have the right to have it fixed in a timely matter or shut it off, I'm wearing a 5 point harness and I would have a safer risk with it off. No one is going to get sued even though I live in junky California as I'm the one taking the risk or as I look at lessing the risk. Case Closed
  7. I know my logic at times may be off somewhat and I maybe I'm reaching at straws for premature spontaneous deployment, but you have to admit that your conclusions are on the premise of an individuals with a Takata air bag being someone who stays close to home and never goes on vacations farther than 100 miles and lives in a state of low humidity and temperatures may be true. But what about us Classic car owners who go to auto shows across the Country and go on vacation in locations with high humidity and temperatures can you use the same logic you proposed, I think not or at least I don't want to bet on it if I happen to get into a crash. So as you can see I will agree with you that someone who lives in a state with high humidity and temperature should come first, but I have been waiting since Oct. 2013 and I think that comes under the heading of Bull S...! I'm sure there are other Shelby's owners who have been waiting much longer and taking a chance that they will not get into a wreck and be injured. I would think that Ford or the Feds should give you the option to turn it off! What do you think?
  8. Well guys I'm on my second recall letter maybe even three telling me the parts are coming in on this quarter what a bunch of Bull S... I'm so tired of getting these letters for a potential hazard that could kill me or you. Now I know I heard the potential risk is higher in some states due too extreme heat and/or humidity that may cause airbag inflator housing to deploy and abnormally rupture in the event of a crash with metal fragments killing or causing malice to another Shelby owner. I believe the high risk factor due too extreme heat and humidity could CAUSE PREMATURE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT (WITHOUT A CRASH) resulting in a extreme "Hazard" resulting in injury or death. Now I know the Safety Recall Letter does not say anything about premature deployment, but in only makes sense. If you get into a crash causing the air bag to deploy it's not going to make any difference what State you live in because the same potential is there. As far as having them turn it off well that's for another discussion another day!
  9. Jim I sure like that Red color on your 350!
  10. Sorry about that twobjshelbys I believe I must be getting tired and thought my redirect was on the correct subject line, I guess there's a lot more problems out there with are Shelbys.

  12. Yeah that's a bitch I was in ICU for 7 days and another 7 days in recovery and I know it's not fun.
  13. Gingerman all you need to do is go to my Team Shelby site under Rod Simas and I have all the pictures of a my 2014 5.8L 850hp Super Snake wide Body and will see all the upgrades that were done. Also you will see the Shelby Registration tag reading SS for super snake also it will have the year either 13 or 14 and the number of your build that year. Mind being "14SS0081" Also I would tend to buy a Shelby off the Team Shelby Forum and shy away from used car lots.
  14. Don't feel bad guys I just lost my clutch and I only have 1600 miles on the beast and haven't started racing as of yet as I have been just going to shows. On that shift problem it sounds like to me you have a worn 5th gear syncro-mesh ring that's worn or damaged causing it not to be able to shift under hard acceleration and the reason you can go from 4th to 6th and than 5th is the reason that the speed change up from 4th to 6th than allows it to be able to than go into 5th.
  15. I call that color me smart, that 2014 has so many options that you can't get them any more I should know I have a 2014. Go out and get sideways
  16. You just need a set of Borla mufflers for that beast.
  17. I still think the 2013 & 2014 with the 5.8L 662hp will hold their value and believe there price will go up in time, how long? Well that will be determined by what you have had Shelby done on your Mustang. I walked into the show room and fell in love with mine, I found a salesman put some cash down came back in a couple days later and bought it. I took it for a test drive and we started talking about Shelby options and he knew a salesman down there so we called them. To make a long story shorter I decided to get the Super Snake option with all the suspension options and Kenny Bell blower with 850hp. Since I was doing all that I had them do the wide body option and made arrangements for transport and it came back to the dealership one year later with Shelby registration number 14SS0081 which stands for 2014 SuperSnake and 81st SuperSnake built in 2014. Now that will had more value to your ride.
  18. I had my GT500 upgraded to a Super Snake and with all the added hp Shelby recommended doing the wide body so we could incorporate larger deeper rims and of course larger tires being Michelin PPS. I find them to stick on pavement quite well and in rain good as you know there are a lot of racing tires out there. In my younger days of racing I would talk to the guys racing the same car I had and ask plenty of questions, but don't always think there going to tell you everything. Take notes and check all the markings on the tires and look for the tire compound "Very Important".
  19. I'm in Jim since you have my money now, but all kidding aside I look forward to the event. Rod
  20. Okay we were just having some fun, but we agree if you have one run it and be proud of it after all it's a Ford.
  21. Let's see if we can understand this statement !! I think we can settle this discussion right here and all agree that the 1994 mustang 5.0 was and always will be the most valuable mustang ever made. Why is this the most valuable? I wouldn't trade my Mustang for it I'm not saying the 1994 is not valuable, but isn't this decided by the buyer?
  22. Ran across your post and you have a very nice Mustang with that blue stripe, I almost got that color on my 2014.
  23. I'm getting lost with all the designations that we have on our Mustangs and would like to know what GTS stands for. THX
