  1. Looks like yours is a misprint.
  2. I think he is referring to the two coasters that go in a cup holder.
  3. Welcome from Alaska. You’re going to enjoy your car a lot. Take your time learning how it handles under different circumstances. With all that horsepower and torque, things can happen in a hurry. After five years mine still surprises me at times.
  4. The purist in me says number one. But, I like having fun with license plates so my vote is for number two. My plate reads WLDRYD.
  5. Grizzly attacks cobra in Alaska. Shelby Cobra, that is By Eric Weiner | Hagerty Facebook Twitter Flipboard Comments Print Email (Hagerty) When Tom Cotter walked outside into the crisp Alaska on Wednesday morning, he stopped dead in his tracks. His 1965 289 Shelby Cobra was right where he parked it the night before, except for one teensy development—the convertible top had a gaping hole it. In fact, it looked like it had been violently ripped apart by a grizzly bear. On any other day, in any other situation, a grizzly bear slashing through a Cobra top like it was a stubborn tube of Pringles would be the punchline to a cruel joke. Not this day. Cotter with the clawed-at Cobra (Hagerty) A Message from The Equedia Letter Is this the Most Undervalued Fintech Stock? Cotter, who is the host of Hagerty's "Barn Find Hunter" video series, is currently touring Alaska with three other Cobra owners and their guests. On the 11th day of the wild trip, Tom and the gang hopped on a ferry boat to the fishing town of Whittier. They later learned that the only way out of town is to drive through an active railroad tunnel. “The workers halted train traffic to let us through, but when they saw we were all driving convertibles they insisted we put up our tops,” Cotter says. (Apparently rocks sometimes fall from the tunnel ceiling, because of course they do.) “We usually just put on our tonneau covers, because no matter the weather, the tops are sort of frowned upon.” MORE CLASSIC CAR NEWS FROM HAGERTY With the exception of one driver who instead borrowed a hard hat, up went the tops. “I haven’t even put mine on in several years—lot of stiff vinyl and difficult to assemble and install.” The gaggle of Cobras nevertheless made it through to their destination in Girdwood, Alaska, stopping for the night so their owners could have dinner and catch some shut-eye. The culprit was likely similar to one of these bears seen the day before. (Hagerty) When Cotter awoke the next morning, one of the other drivers soon called, telling him to get outside to the parking lot immediately. Lo and behold, there was the mangled remains of the top, along with some muddy paw prints and a few small dents in the rear fender. (Hagerty) The police later arrived, and upon inspecting the prints and finding some scruffy brown hairs, determined it was indeed a bear’s handiwork. But before you jump to the conclusion that the grizzly was just more of a Porsche fan, it turned out that all the cuddly guy wanted was a small pack of Fig Newtons that were unknowingly left behind the seats. "Or maybe he wanted a closer look at Carroll's signature," says Cotter. Through it all, he remained calm and mostly just bemused. “The car’s top had survived 53 years unscathed, but couldn’t make it 11 days in Alaska,” Cotter says. “I’ve got bigger problems, anyway. My clutch hydraulics went out, so I’ve convinced a guy to let me borrow his airplane hangar for a bit to fix things. I’ve got work to do.”
  6. You must have been very good for Santa to bring you such a nice gift.
  7. Congrats and welcome to the family. Like you, my 2014 is the first mustang I owned. Take you time and get used to the power before getting too carried away. Lots of good information here about tires.
  8. I had the same issue with my gift card. Called the store and found out I was entering the card number in the wrong location. If I remember correctly, on the last page of the check out process, before you actually place your order, there is a place to enter the gift card number. Worked like a champ once I entered it in the right location. Good luck.
  9. I considered several after buying my 14 GT500. Since I bought it six months before I got to see it, I read every write-up I could find. I decided WLDRYD (wild ride) was appropriate.
  10. Welcome. I have always liked the Kona Blue. Beautiful color on an awesome car.
  11. My 2014 GT500 has been tucked away nice and warm for the last two months. Unfortunately, my new F150 got t-boned, and likely totaled by the looks of the rear axle and drive train, this morning. I really hope I don't have to bring out the Shelby, mid winter in Alaska, if their insurance won't cover a rental until my truck is replaced. I feel like I am living that Liberty Mutual insurance commercial.....the truck hadn't even had it's first oil change yet. At least no one was hurt.
