  1. I love the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I run 265's in front and 285's in rear. I think 265's is about it for the front. 275's might fit though but would be WIDE. I would not see why a 285 or 295 wouldnt fit.
  2. Mine is getting checked out today. Has anyone noticed this issue as well? My car after a 45 minute drive took 4 hours for the trans to cool down enough to hook up the O2 sensors, Now I thought he was just screwing around at first but the service manager brought me to my car and low and behold, oil pan slightly warm, trans to hot to hold your hand on for more than 5 minutes AFTER 4 HOURS of setting. They did not raise the hood but still. Is that normal. Secondly, has anyone ever noticed that after a long interstate drive the clutch is really hard to push the first time but directly after it is smooth as silk? Mine will pop out of second if not held/slammed and also has the grind but only when it was cold 30 to 40 degree weather. It has not grinded since the weather warmed up.
  3. It is going to get aligned at the Dealership in Daphne. I will take his after readings and compare them to the ones I had. I will let ya'll know the results. Tires dont come in until Monday. I miss my car. lol
  4. This was the readings after they aligned it 6 months ago. I do not know what they are now. I run the 265/40/19 Michelon SS tires at correct pressure filled with nitrogen. I have no clue as to if they sat in the car while they aligned it but I weigh in at a whopping 165 lbs so not sure if that would throw it off lol.
  5. Actually the tires have great tread left except for where they wore out. I could easily get another 20K out of them. I dont drive my car real hard.
  6. Thanks Barry, I did get it aligned after the car was lowered. I even waited three days for it to settle. Judging by the graph above I am thinking they did not align it right. I am not front end alignment expert but if the graph shows -1.0 to 0.75 and mine is -1.37 for Camber and 7.2 to .75 and mine is 7.34, is that off enough to cause the tires to wear out that bad in 6 months and 15k miles?

  8. I had my car aligned about 6 months ago and just the other day I parked with the wheels turned all the way and noticed that the inside of both my front tires were worn to the cord. I have not hit any type of pot holes nor noticed any type of pulling or mishandling from the car. The car has the Ford Racing Lowering Springs but FR told me that the alignment specs should remain the same as factory specs. With these Michelin Super Sport costing around 350 a tire can one of you alignment gurus tell me if they did it right? Here are the specs that they gave me. LEFT RIGHT CAMBER -1.37* -0.89* CROSS CAMBER -0.48* CASTER 7.34* 7.25* CROSS CASTER 0.09* TOE 0.10* 0.10* TOTAL TOE 0.20*

  10. Update on my ride. I trailored the car to Sandy Sansing Ford in Daphne Alabama and after test driving the car the rear end guy ordered a new Ring and Pinnion before even pulling the diff cover. So far so good with a dealership that seems to care about their customers. Keep your fingers crossed for me please. He said he is going to have his transmission guy take a look at the trans issues as well.

  12. In my experiance.......Optima batteries are great if you use the vehicle. They DO NOT like to sit dormant!
  13. My 2012 is about to hit 31k. I used to drive it daily but now I bounce between that and my Harley. Sadly the car gets the rain since it seems to rain everyday here in Florida.
  14. The excuse that was given to me was that it is a Carbon Fiber Clutch Pack inside the rear end that makes that noise during turns and it is normal on the 2012's.
  15. I run the same size and tire on mine in Florida. They grip great but with the pulley/tune I can break them loose in second with suspension upgrades. I hate to say short of a slick, no tire will just "Hook" on our cars at the power levels they make. I will say that they have been the best tire I have run though. They are awesome in the twisties as well. I am suprised how well they hook on wet roads too. During the cold months I would just do a little 2nd gear warm up and then they seemed fine.

  17. I had a case opened on mine. Was told that my car was modified.....Uncatted X Pipe and they would not warranty any work on the trans or rear. They also accused me of "beatin" on the car. I told them it was my Daily Driver and Honestly Never has seen a track since I have owned it, they said the previous owner must have. They said my mods are ones that drag racers do so the issue was my fault. Good luck in dealing with them. They know there is an issue, they just dont want to pay to fix it.

  19. Ford knows well of the issue. For the love of God do not take your car to a dealer with any mods I.E. Exhaust, Pulley, Tune.......etc. The warranty division will refuse to do any work on it. Ask me how I know.

  21. Hub City Ford just changed my trans fluid maybe 2k miles ago. Unless they added something to stop the 1 to 2 grind or popping out of second.......it should not be low and in my opinion should not be that hot. I will be taking it to another dealer to access this situation. Thanks for the write up though. I needed it and so may a bunch of others
  22. Thanks for the reply INGOT. I was beginning to think I was blocked lmao. I don't think mine should be as hot. It was after a hour drive but even then....4 hours and still cant hold your hand on it. They did not raise my hood but still? what would make it run so hot? Also I noticed that after about 50 minutes on the interstate the cutch is really stiff wen pushed but after the first push it is back to normal? Anyone else have this happen?
