  1. The powerboard and the logic board cannot be changed/swapped, .. This has been a 3 year battle of how.. Majority say that a d150 smec will work, and just wire up some fans blah blah blah... You are missing the single most important thing that Shelby had to touch... I am the success story private message me to know how to fix your smec the correct way. I now daily my #1454 and I am proud to say there is no more guess work involved to this computer dilemma. Hmu if you want the real facts. Don't waste your hard earned money on d150 smec!
  2. This is good to know.. Tomorrow I am going shopping...
  3. That is what I've heard, although the four options I have purchased for the ram did not work. Did you have a success with the ram SMEC? Or do you know of anyone who did? All I've heard is that it will work, fans are simple. The power/spark logic side of my board is fried due to a battery bad cell and an over charge. What ram SMEC is it exactly? is there a person who has used a specific part #???

  7. Need a SMEC for a shelby dakota, what part number have any of us used to replace a cooked one? Anybody have one or know where one is? There used to be a performance one on the market.. That was 20 years ago...
  8. I need an SMEC! Ecm! Ahhhhh!!! Where do I get one!! Up in smoke two years ago... Ugh.
  9. On the contrary, the SMEC can go bad quick, due to a bad battery, corrosion, and circuit fault in the charging system(fusible link to the ASD relay). If anyone knows of where to get a replacement SMEC part number please fill in the rest of us!
  10. Haven't the faintest idea what the difference is, I've been through many other model dodge ecms and a few did nothing, a few went up in smoke, one caught fire. It's different. Lookin for help and to stay on topic. I've read that a d150 ecm can work, I would just have to put a fan switch in, I've burnt up several different ones trying. Looking for someone with experience or an offering that's all. Thanks
  11. It has sentimental value as well as 13074 miles. Stored correctly up north. Constantly hawking eBay...
  12. Hello! I'm am brand new to forums, I've lost hope and I am Trying to get help on replacing a burnt impossible to find SMEC or ECM for a 1989 Shelby Dakota is why we've been parked for two years, mine burnt up, I've been through various Dodge Ram computers at a cost of over a thousand, trying to stay stock, I have a 6 cyl ecm that allows me to move the truck in and out of the garage, but to drive it is near impossible. MY ORIGINAL ECM IS BEYOND REPAIR AND IT IS NOT AN OPTION. I was wondering if anyone knew part numbers of An EcM that works for them. I've been told it's not worth anything and how much I should change it, blah blah blah, that's your opinion. I'm looking for help, it's the prettiest, coolest sounding, lawn ornaments that I have ever had. Help ---- mark. (Parked since 2012)
