  1. Was there any drilling of the dash involved?
  2. This is all great information. I can’t believe Shelby still has the gauges. So I know this is probably personal but what is the general feeling if I add them to my 2008gt. Could the 08 ever have the possibility of having them?
  3. So the question is only the Shelby gt/sc are the only cars that came with the pod? A 2008 Shelby gt would have never had that option?
  4. I have seen several Shelby GTs with the dash pod option and needless to say, I love what it adds to the car and the dash. Reminds me of my dad’s rally pack he had on his 66GT. I would like to ask the group if this was an option from Shelby itself or an aftermarket purchase. There is one for sale on eBay right now for $950.00 is that steep? Would it work on my 2008 GT? The three gauges read fuel, oil and boost. Concerned about the boost gauge, was this for a supercharger only? Yes the gauges seem legit, having the Carroll Shelby sig in red. Your input is much appreciated as I learn a little each time I post here. Thank you, Mike
  5. #500 - I purchased the car four years ago with 28,000 miles on it. It now has 31,000. Most of them come from my annual trip to Carlisle Ford Nationals each year in June.
  6. Just wondering what the general consensus is on the fog light and brake duct add? I guess it is personal preference. I like it but I am not big on modifications. Thoughts?
  7. I just want to say thank you to all the gentlemen for replying and sharing to this post! I am humbled by this community after only being here a week. This pictures are awesome, I am glad someone thought to take these as I had no idea I would be a 2008 owner until four years ago. So it is nice to be able to see what Shelby looked like back in the mid 2000's. Thank you again, Mike
  8. This is the only picture I saved on copied from the post, there were several others that I would love to get, any help is appreciated!
  9. I am totally new Team Shelby and have been really enjoying the page over the past few days. Somewhere I dumbed into a post that had several pictures of the 2008 SGT's sitting outside the Vegas plant waiting for modifications, the post also had pics of the 2007 SGT's, I can't find that post for the life of me. If someone could be so kind to point me in the correct direction and or share the pics with me, I would be much appreciative. Thank you Mike.
  10. All I can tell you is what my dad would say to me when I bought my 08 Shelby GT, "you are going to use it, not abuse it." Oh by the way my dad would know he is the original owner of a 1966 GT 350 with 43,000 original miles on it. Again used but not abused. Best of luck of whatever you decide on.
  11. Earlier this month I was fortunate enough to attend the East Coast nationals in Pittsburgh, PA. The racing and show was awesome! Being a 2008 Shelby GT Convertible owner, I became involved in a conversation with a fellow owner at the show, before I knew it two others had joined in. The discussion led into "Tires". Could someone tell me what the correct tire is for this car? I realize there may be a few correct answers. Currently there are Goodyear Eagles on mine, which the car has 28,000 miles, could these be the original tire? The pic below is just a taste of the awesome row of 1966 GT350's that were present. Also one last question, does anyone know where I can get one of those great "East Coast Nationals" t-shirts? They ran out of XL at the show!
