Team Shelby Club 2019 Team Shelby Membership Kit Please note that membership contents are subject to change.   Team Shelby was designed and engineered by real enthusiasts inside and out of Shelby.   Team Shelby was originally formed in 2008 by Carroll Shelby. He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2019, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. The New Shelby GT 500...........

Anyone see good pictures of one without the track package? I’m thinking it will look better then the huge wing on the back.
  2. Please keep me updated I will certainly jump in if all checks out!!! Thank you for taking the lead on this!!
  3. 2020 GT500 news

I agree 100%, I can care less if I put it in drive with a dial or a lever, what’s the difference? Some Super Cars have buttons. This is not the “Shifter”, that is just a mechanism to put it in Drive. It’s not like the old levers that we’re used to powershift, as Secondo explains that is done with the steering wheel, that is MUCH better then the old school way in my opinion.
  4. The New Shelby GT 500...........

7 Speed Dual Clutch. Can’t wait to see it!!!
  5. 2020 GT500 news

No pictures yet, but they do have some really good colors coming according to what I read. A green, blue, red, and orange.
  6. The New Shelby GT 500...........

Agreed who in their right mind would want more then this? It’s already crazy.
  7. The New Shelby GT 500...........

This car is a Game Changer!!! Finally a DCT, hopefully it’s close to the performance of the Porsche PDK. I’ve been a Manual only guy for many years, then I went to a Porsche Driving school and drove the PDK, to me it has all of the advantages of the Manual and lacks the disadvantages of the automatic. I can not wait to see this car at the NY Auto-Show. My guess is it starts at $69-79K, I’m hoping $69K and then a well optioned one will be $79K or so.
  8. 2020 GT500 news

Looks really nice, I’m very curious what the price will be, and I hope they give an option for wheels that aren’t black.
  9. Curb Rash and dents for $5K???? Jim I would imagine they have to be 20" for that price, but who knows. Holy shnikees I guess I should've kept mine, better return then the stock market the past few years.
  10. What SC setup is now available

I have 275's on the back, to be honest I really do not beat on my car so I am sure I would get better if I practiced, but I do not see the point I only drive on public roads. I do love taking on ramps in 3rd or a quick down shift to pass someone, but I do not take off from a stop at full speed ever. Most of the time I see people doing that I think they are Ass Clowns.
  11. Time Capsule Shelby

I would say he is about $10K too high, but if you look at his website it appears most of his cars are overpriced.
  12. What SC setup is now available

I agree Swede, from a stop I have a very difficult time, I don’t race so it doesn’t bother me, but I could see it bothering some.
  13. What SC setup is now available

I think 4.10 gears would suck for sure, it’s already crazy power with stock gearing (3.55 if I recall), I couldn’t imagine having 4.10’s. I do agree from a dead stop the Whipple can be difficult, but from a roll it’s a beast and that’s more real world unless you drag race. On ramps are awesome, same with downshifting to pass someone.
  14. Horsepower of 2008 Shelby Mustang GTSC

I would guess around 400-425, the Automatic made a good amount less then the manual if I recall correctly. My Whipple 550 produced 496 RWHP, but Tasca said that was one of highest they had installed, they said the aftermarket drive shaft may have helped slightly. I remember the KB was slightly lower on average then the Whipple and the Paxton lower then that.
