  1. If you are passing thru St.Louis area, let me know and we can caravan to Jeff city. This is my 4th time at Shelbyfest, its a great way to start spring time and summer. George
  2. Besides the official website, this guy has a good writeup: http://www.madmanmike.com/woodward_dream_cruise.html
  3. Anyone going this year? I will be there Thursday afternoon to Saturday. Over 1 million will attend. Last year had a blast. Its a driving carshow. 4 lanes in each direction. Pontiac to Ferndale is 15 miles! Every stoplight is a mini street race, zero to 40-50 mph. All types of cars. Its the Superbowl of cruising. Saw multiple GT500's. Live music, big 3 had exhibits. Hundreds of popup tents lining the street. This is a great thing for Detroit. So I am flying St.Louis to Muskegon, then to Ludington,(golf) then Detroit.
  4. Driving Saint Louis to Jefferson City Friday. Leaving at 10am-ish. Weather looks good. Any want meet up. The more the more fun.

  8. My BF Goodrich tires have 8 years on them, and I have heard that tires with 6 years of service should be replaced if exposed to the elements. My 2007 GT 500 has been garaged and only run on nice days. Still has some tread, but I am mostly worried about age of tires. My wheels are front 255/35ZR20 and rear are 275/35ZR20. The following are my concerns, questions and comments....any thoughts and/or advise is appreciated: 1. So far I have narrowed my search for new tires to: A. Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 (ZR) $1382.35 installed B. Extreme Continental DWS 97W XL J (ZR) $1102.97 installed 2. Thinking that I should replace the tire sensors?? 3. Includes wheel alignment - why not. 4. Chrome Shelby Wheels - old tires taken off with rubber tipped device, by experienced mechanic ...not to damage wheels. 5. Replacing tires after 8 years of service....this is a good thing? (Foolish or Smart...am I buying peace of mind?) Thanks, Superchief
  9. Update on my K-40 I now have the updated model with volume control, gps, and it's all hard wired. Much better.
  10. Last update...insurance will not cover. Clutch work to start this Thursday. Bummer. Car with under 15k miles, not covered. ..wow. Now just want a good install.
  11. Update...to my clutch issue. Dealer called and says my clutch needs to be replaced. They said they need to pull the transmission etc... and have the insurance guy look to see if it's normal wear!!!???!!! The dealer has asked for $400 to do this work. If insurance covers clutch repair, I pay nothing but the deductible. I have about 15,000 miles on my 07 GT600. The dealers says clutchs only last about 20k miles on these cars??? Is that right?? So I find out next week who pays for this repair.
  12. I am assuming this is still the current fix ..*Clutch Drag TSB 10-3-8 (4th revision 2010 clutch set up)* - Just took my '07 GT500 into shop 5/5/14 and told them to check for the TBS on the clutch. Told them I was experiencing clutch chatter when warm. Having to feather it with rpm's ...especially bad when pulling into driveway. Showed dealer my extended warranty. ..still in force till 6/14. I think they are going to replace under warranty. Fingers crossed!
  13. I understand that Ford Racing will have cars there too.
