He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2019, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! Carroll Shelby (Team Shelby Member #001) said: "We built Team Shelby for anyone who is passionate about Shelby cars! We’ll have a blast and we'll do it the Shelby way!   Yearly Membership Rates   U.S. $49.99 | Canada & Mexico $59.99 | E.U., others $65.99   Join the Team Shelby Club   click here to choose a Team Shelby Club subscription package.   Membership Kit Arrival   Your Team Shelby Club membership kit and I.D.card will generally arrive within 6-8 weeks.   Need Help?   Email Brianna:  e-mail her here.

  5. I know there are a handful of threads of different track setups for any years that have the 20" rear wheels. I have a 2012 with the SVTPP and tossed around the relocation of the rear sway bar to fit 15's or squeezing in Nitto 305s, M/T's or other drag radial. I haven't seen much on the setup I finally chose, so I wanted to throw out what I found. I went with the Hoosier 28x10-17 slicks ($220 from Summit - link below) mounted on some 17x9 replica wheels from American Muscle ($110/each - link and specs below). The 28" Hoosiers are only slightly smaller than the stock tires when inflated. Theoretically, the diameter difference should be 0.1", although I did find it to be slightly more exaggerated in real life. The Hoosiers were at 15 psi, and I saw about 1/4" difference from the stock Goodyear ties at 35 psi.. I obviously I not concerned about the speedo difference for a track setup, and I never had any difficulty with the traction system registering problems. There is very little overhang, as you can see here: The clearance from the shocks and everything else in the wheel well is also more than acceptable. As far as performance, I unfortunately only got two runs in this week. Both were disappointing, and I still have a lot to learn about launching this car with the slicks. I can say, though, that traction was perfect without a single slip at any point. Now, I just need to figure out the best launch RPM and amount of feathering/clutch dropping. Any experience from others here would really be appreciated! Best run: 2.01 60': 12.4 @ 116 Wheels: 17 x 9 with a +30 mm offset (6.18" backspace) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hoo-18157/overview/ http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome-10th-17x9-0512.html Some other pics of the setup: Thanks for looking! I have really gotten a lot out of other's posts on this site and and happy to finally have something to add myself!
  6. High stock dyno results ? All I have is Air Inlet Resonator Delete and an air raid filter. I ended up with 536 hp and 517 lbft, I thought it should have been more around 470 hp. Was the dyno off ?
  7. New Guy to the GT500 Crowd!

I've been a avid Ford Mustang fan since my childhood. I've been a mustang owner since 2009 when I purchased my first one, a 2009 Bullitt. I am a big fan of Steve McQueen and a the car was perfect for me as I enjoyed something mysterious and unique. More recently I decided to look into purchasing a 2012 GT500. December 2012 I found the perfect car. Coming from the Bullitt it is a huge difference but at the same time you really cannot compare the two. I still own the Bullitt and will continue to do so, so if anything I'm really glad to add this 2012 GT500 to my stable. Here are the specs on the car: 2012 Shelby GT500 Ingot Silver Metallic w/ Stripe Delete SVT Performance Package Electronics Package Recaro Seats Glass Roof I picked it up with less than 2500 miles. The previous owner took very good care of it and never even opened the manuals/supplements. Here are some pictures too: I already have a bunch planned including a 2013 TVS S/C on the way. If your curious to see my Bullitt here is a picture of it - I'm happy to officially join the forum! I'm also a pretty active member over on S197.com and IMBOC.com.

  9. Carlisle pre-parade lineup

This is a short video that I was able to capture on my iPad as we were just starting our engines to get the parade going. Sorry for the choppy shot as I had to walk fast enough to make it back to my car, but the sounds are well worth It. -Tom

  11. Ok, on another thread I have posted a question about trading in my '08 for a 2012. What I am looking for is your honest opinion about your 2012. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Also, if any of you have owned an '07 - '09 and now own a 2012, what do you think about your '12 vs your other gt500? Thanks in advance for your input.
  12. 2012 Tour d'Orange
