I have a set of new and unused Baer 14" rotors with the Baer part number of 6140229 (stamped on the lip) or are sold by Shelby America as Z28-2300-U. The rotors are assembled with the hat assembly (by Baer) and are slotted and drilled. These only fit the Baer/Shelby Extreme Brakes Front (2005-2014) kit with the part number Z28-4261112. They also fit the 14" Front Extreme+ Brake System by Baer - SKU# 4261064. Again the front rotors only. Price is plus shipping and fees.
So Shelby sells wilwood and baer kits. Question is which is the better option. Wilwood is significantly cheaper but do they provide significant braking over the stock brembos? I dont want to half ass it but at the same time dont want to spend a grip for minimal improvement. Also anyone have experience with a brake cooling kit for the 14 GT500? I have my car undergoing surgery soon for a complete BMR/Koni suspension upgrade and want to knock out the brakes at the same time to eliminate double work. Also putting an exhaust CAI pulley plugs and tune so before i put some go i want more whoa.
For sale is a used Baer Eradispeed + 2 rear brake upgrade kit bought for SPP in late March 2012. They have maybe 500 miles on the set, are in great condition complete with the relocating brackets. These came off my 2007 GT500, but according to the documentation will fit 2005 - 2013 Ford & Shelby Mustangs, also 2012 - 2013 Boss 302. This kit will give you the large rotors, 14" without having to pay for the much more expensive rear brake upgrade. This kit originally cost $661 from SPP, you can get them new from other sources for about $595, I am asking for $425 plus shipping or an offer! I am in the Portland, Oregon area in you are close we could arrange a pickup and avoid any shipping expense. Please e-mail me with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
