He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! We’ll have a blast and we'll do it the Shelby way!   Yearly Membership Rates   U.S. $49.99 | Canada & Mexico $59.99 | E.U., others $65.99   Join the Team Shelby Club   click here to choose a Team Shelby Club subscription package.   Membership Kit Arrival   Your Team Shelby Club membership kit and I.D.card will generally arrive within 6-8 weeks.   Need Help?   Email Brianna:  e-mail her here.

  2. #1 Ok, so this issue has perplexed me for over 3 years now. I picked up a rebuilt / salvage title 07 GT500 back in 2015. Everything is near perfect however when I wholeshot the car my guages, dash lights, ABS, and stereo power cycle. It's quite distracting and upsetting when it happens as it's usually when I'm trying to enjoy the power this beast has. I've taken it to the local speed shop who wants a ton of money to analyze the electronics and Dyno the car.. So I've physically checked the ground connections which seem ok (no multimeter testing though). considering it's an RPM triggered event I'm suspecting that it ISN'T a ground issue. I've disengage the ABS because when the power cycles it instantly turns back on the ABS creating problems. My suspicion is that the person who rebuilt the GT500 cheaped out on a replacement alternator and either installed a junk GT alternator (not GT500) or perhaps a defective one that maybe sends a surge at 2000 RPM. I just can't think of anything else that involves electronics and would be 2000 rpm sensitive. I sure would appreciate if an expert from this forum could assist as I'm completely lost. 3 years with the car and I can't take it over 2000 without fearing the unknown... Thank you in advance whoever you are who will be taking time out of your day to help me. Carl

  5. 08 or 09 KR? VIP Edition?

I'm new to the Team Shelby Forum, and want to buy a 08 or 09 Vista Blue w/Silver Stripes KR, just didn't know if the 08 being a 40th Anniversary Edition is considered more collectible than the 09 year? Additionally, I've seen the phrase "VIP Edition, 1 of 20 produced" stated on several KRs for sale, what constitutes a "VIP Edition?" Thanks in advance for helping the latest newbie of Team Shelby! Former owner of a 65 squareback, 66 Fastback, and 69 Mach I.

  7. I've had my take off parts from Supersnaking my 09 GT500 in storage for several years. What seems to be the best way to sell? For awhile they seemed to have little value but I haven't seen anything lately. Looking to make storage space, so more interested in moving it all.
  8. Hi, which Rear Gear Pinion Bearing I need for my: Shelby GT500 2013/14 w/o Track pack w/o Torson Axle Code is S213C2 - 3.73 There are so many different informations at the different shops where I can order the part. Some say 9L3Z-4630-A, other says 6L2Z-4625-AB. Americanmuscle says a special "High Torque Bearing" is necessary, FordPerformanceParts say not - this is only for der Track Pack 13/14 GT500. FordPerformanceParts -> use M-4210-B2 but except 2013 Boss and 2013-2014 GT500 - does not fit 2013 Boss or 2013-2014 GT500 with axle codes S-215-D and S-219-D ??? Can someone help me, please. (sorry about my bad english, I am from Germany)

  11. 2011 GT500 Tire choice

Hello everyone, I know there have been a lot of threads scattered around here about this, but a lot of the ones I looked at seemed a little bit old. I have a 2011 GT500 that needs some tires again. I was thinking of switching brands. Still trying to find something that will stick. I hear a lot of good things about the Michelin PSS. While searching around I also heard some talk of the Continental ExtremeContact DW's. However the Continental's only have a 275/35R20 not a 285/35R20. Has anyone ever used these and how did they do? I already have traction issues, just like everyone else, so I am not sure I want to go down in width. It probably isn't going to effect it that much though. Has anyone tried out the newer goodyear G:2's? What about other choices? Mickey Thompson, Nitto's, etc... All opinions are welcome, Thanks.
  12. I want to give a big shout-out to the Fox Shoppe in Portland, Oregon. Jim installed a new clutch, MGW shifter, one piece drive shaft and Kooks headers with Catted X-pipe on my 2007 GT500. I have had Jim complete other modifications on the car before with the same outstanding excellent result. If anyone in the Portland-Vancouver area has a need for a shop with a guy who knows these cars, and any other Mustang, this is the place, "The Fox Shoppe" in Portland! Don Hamilton

  14. Got my '13 SS out on the track for the first time this weekend. The track was at Raceway Park of the Midlands, just south of Omaha, NE. There was a 75% chance of rain throughout the day, so I decided to make the drive up from Kansas City, and drive the course on Michelin Pilot AS3, all season tires. I absolutely love these tires for all the open road driving I do (37K miles so far). I have had them on the track before and they do the job, but are not the ideal choice of course. I figured I would be ok, since I knew I was going to take it easy and just learn this course and learn the car, not trying to break any records. I have put about 6K miles on the car after the upgrade, and the power this thing puts out still amazes me today. As you can see from the video I made, you absolutely have to respect the power the car produces when you are enjoying it. Now that the weather is warm and dry, I have put the MPSS back on. https://youtu.be/d9b9NPNkkLs
  15. I have a set of Recaro seats (Black with Red Stripes) for sale for $3500. They are from my 2011 GT500 with 8k miles. They are in great condition. I could potentially part with my rear seats if the color combination does not match. I am located in Washington DC. PM if you are interested or if you have any other questions. Thanks!

  17. Weld Racing Rims

Hey guys, not sure if anyones considering a drag set up for their shelby but I figured I'd post some pics of my new set up. They are Weld Racing RTS rims 18x5 front and 17x10 rear wrapped in mickey thompson street radials. The car hooks up MUCH better off the line but its certainly a straight line set up, I wouldn't want to push it into any corners with the skinnies up front. Sorry about the shitty pics but let me know what you guys think
