He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2019, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. Hello

Hello everyone my name is Tony and im new here. I dont own my own shelby however my father does. Im pretty much the caretaker of it and i store and drive it regularly. I have registered it under dads info. It is a 2009 gt500 kr in vista blue with grey stripes. It is #12 of the 88 made in vista blue that year.
  2. New Member

New to the forum. I own a 2008 Shelby GT, vista blue silver stripes #567. I have learned so much browsing the last few days I’m kicking myself for not coming here a year ago. Some upgrades I have done to my baby are. 4.10 rear end gearing. Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams. Koni adjustable dampers, H and R sport springs. Much more to come in good taste.
  3. New 2013 Shelby GT-500 Ordered

Hi All, I spent years on the Ford Expedition Forum, still have it, but I just ordered a 2013 GT-500, race red, stripe-delete (I like the side stripes, not so much the over-the-top, so I will add side stripes later), recaroes (sp?), electronic group, svt package, track package, car cover. It was ordered 3/28/12 from my dealer. Any idea when people are getting build dates? My dealer said he was allowed to order only 1 this year (small-medium sized dealership), is that what others are finding? Price I got = Sticker +1,000. Am I doing good, bad or in the middle for $? I look forward to sharing tips and experiences once I get it! Tox
  4. I have a confession.

Hello everyone! I'm just going to come right out and say it. I've been a Camaro fan for my entire adult life (preferantial towards the 1970 RS, and the current body style), and was planning to buy one as a retirement gift to myself. However, about two weeks ago I stopped in at a local Ford dealership with my 18 year old daughter (who likes Mustangs) and we took a 2012 GT500 for a drive. I (we) really enjoyed it! But since I was looking for a "retirement car" I was thinking of going with an automatic, and learned that I can't get one in a GT500. So I was back to planning on buying a Camaro. The big question was, do I hold out for a ZL1, or just get a 2SS model? Yesterday I drove a 2SS model with an automatic and found it to be very boring. I also didn't enjoy the feel of the car the way I enjoyed the GT500. Finally, the exhaust, even under heavy acceleration, was just too quiet. Guessing that a ZL1 would probably sound better than the 2SS, and getting a manual transmission, should have been enough to make up my mind for good. But I still didn't like the feel and look of the "cockpit." For these reasons, I've decided to go with a GT500. Now the dilemma is whether I wait for a 2013, or hurry up and grab the 2012 which has a pretty good discount off MSRP? I doubt I'll be doing any track time, and for the most part, the horsepower will simply be a nice thing to know I have if I should decide to use it...lol. I think I already know the wise thing to do, what do you think? By the way, I have had my F150 Super Crew since November, 2000, so I guess I was already part of the family?...lol
  5. Newbie!!!
