He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! 1. Need suggestion on replacing original factory Goodyear tires on my 2014 GT500. Replace with OEM tires - Different brand of tire - or wait to replace. At least once a year I track the car on a road course in the upper Midwest and participate in 1/2 mile go fast event. I am aware of the tires pros and cons, only operate above 45 degrees, need to get heat in them before they hook up, especially on a road course at least 3 to 4 laps, before I can really push the car. Tires pick up every rock and pebble cold or hot at slow speeds in my subdivision. The tires have less than 8000 miles, and have 2013 Juliann DOT date stamped in the side wall. The car has some engine modifications. It was dyno'd pushing almost 700 HP and over 750 lbs. ft. of torque to the ground at the rear wheels. I am looking summer performance tires: new Michelin PS/4 or new Continental Extreme Contact, or even considering another set of Goodyear's. When I am not having fun on track days or go fast event days, the car is driven on the weekends around town or out in the countryside for joyride. It is not my daily driver and it is parked in the winter months, on stands, in a climate controlled garage. The car has experienced rain 6 times and the tire's tread are not worn. I haven't measure the tread depths yet this year, guessing at 15 to 18 /32ths front to back respectively. Launch Control and track mode rarely used.
  2. Need help.. my car got hit and my wheel got damaged. I am looking for one "Shelby Venice "square"- Black 20x9.5" (2005-2017).. new, used don't mind. Sadly Shelby do not sell them any more. Thanks for your help...
  3. I'm selling my set of HRE Flowform FF15 wheels, Tarmac (Black), 18x10et40, fitment for S197/S550 Mustang of course. 5x114.3mm PCD. I just bought them last month and have only used them for three track days, only to and from track and on track, so they are still in great condition. No cracks, chips, curb rash, potholes, nothing. essentially new. Typical HRE quality. $2k for set of 4.
  4. Question - Widening Razors

Finally getting around to widening my 20" Razors. Question is, can I go 10.5" without any issues? thx -sam
  5. SO I decided to install the INVOs on my 2012 gt500, stock rims, but wider sizes. 275/35/19 front 295/35/20 rear I didn't feel any spinning and grip was a hell of a lot better, on the track. my question is: should I have gotten wider rims to make it better? Thank you in advance.
  6. Guys, I need your expertise. My 2013 GT500 wheels got jacked and I have a suspect who posted them bitches to Craigslist. I have pictures of the inner-wheel and need to know if the number below the Ford logo is a definite serial number or not. It's a 5 digit number, to the right of which is a date, then part number, country of origin (Taiwan), etc. Does anyone know for sure, 100%? Ford customer service said no, Shelby America didn't know (i really didnt expect them to), and the cops have been told the same when they called a dealership (groan). Thanks guys, Chris

  11. What do you guys think? I would be interested in opinions. I know these are not the 20s, but has anyone else went with the 18s? Any pictures you could share? http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHELBY-GT500KR-ALCOA-FORGED-WHEELS-/200968099387?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ecaa1d63b&vxp=mtr Thanks, WillyT
  12. Hi all, I am looking at where to find OEM wheels for my 2014 Shelby GT500. I know many recommend going with aftermarket wheels like the Alcoas or HRE but I am looking for a set of OEM wheels. I have the SVT pack so the wheels are the "Tarnished" - painted sterling grey - set. I have been unable to find them anywhere so looking for any help I can get. Thanks! -Ian
  13. Does anyone have the Black / Silver CS40 Wheels on a White Shelby? I am thinking about swapping my wheels for a set of those but was hoping to find a picture of them on a car. Thanks, Robert
  14. Here's a great resource for narrowing down rim and tire size choices for you ride... http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
  15. CS 70 wheels on 2013 Shelby

CS70 wheels 20x9 on the front. 20x10 on the rear. Nitto 275 front, 305 rear, no clearance issues. I think they fill out the fender openings very well.
  16. I am looking for someone to that is willing to swap 2 20x9 new 50th anniversary alcoas for 2 20x10's with me. Prefer someone in California if possible. I will pay the shipping cost if needed. I currently have a set of four 20x10's, But would like to trade 2 20x10's for 2 20x9's. After much consideration, I have decided that I would rather have the 20X9's upfront. I have heard that the 20x10's can cause wheel wander on certain type of roads. Also I have spoke with Alex at Mackenzie Mustang who is going to do some work on my car in the near future. He recommends the 20x9's for the front, If I can find someone who wants to do a swap. I have kicked myself for this, because my original order was with 2 20X9's But I changed the order to all 20X10's. If anyone is interested PM me, Also Wheels must be New and never had tires Mounted, as mine are still in original boxes and have never been mounted. Jim
  17. Alcoas on a GTS?

I wonder how Alcoa Super Snake / 50th Aniv. wheels would look on a GTS. That said, I'll probably get the GTS-package wheels anyway this summer.
  18. WHEW! We have now contacted every Shelby Forged "Fifty Years" Wheel customer who had placed a deposit through our October Pre-Order Program. If you have a deposit, and have not been contacted, the contact info you provided when placing the deposit was incorrect, and you need to email me ASAP. All orders need to be finalized and paid in full by next Friday, January 11, or the order will be cancelled and your deposit refunded. The deadline is necessary so that we can get an accurate count of sellable inventory for those who did NOT pre-order. The final sale date will be announced ASAP. Jonathan Eck will no longer be handling orders, today is his last day at Shelby, and we applaud his efforts to take care of each and every customer for these wheels. All questions or requests for status will now ONLY be handled by me. Email me at: JerG@ShelbyAmerican.com Thanks! Jer

  21. Did you guys see the advertisement on the 22 inches wheels at : http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/10/12/2013-ford-shelby-gt500-convertible-on-22-inch-vossen-wheels/ I wonder if they fit right in without any trouble and modification? Anyone could explain? Thanks, braztang
  22. I have owned my 2012 GT500 for one exactly one year today. Owned the brand new Alcoa Super Snake wheels for six month. Unfortunately the car has spent and enormous amount of time at my local Ford Service Department. The service department has worked on the TPMS and a squeaking noise off and on since I took delivery. A month ago they mentioned they would have to remove a tire from one of my Alcoa wheels in order to troubleshoot the TPMS sensor in the wheel. The next day the service rep called me and said the car was ready for pick up. A a smart-junction box was on order for the TPMS. When I picked the car up I walked around to inspect for damage, but didn't look closely at the wheels. I took the car home and parked it in the garage since they still can't figure out the embarrassing loud squeak coming from the rear of the car. Two weeks later I get a call telling me the smart junction box was in and I could bring the car in for the repair. I pulled my car out of the garage to give it a wash before heading to the dealership. While washing the right front wheel i find two large gouges on the outer bead of the wheel. Sickening feeling!!! I took the car to the service department and showed them the damage and explained that it look like the tire guy used a crow bar on my tire. The service manger said "yes, they should have used a plastic bar and not a steel one". He told me not to worry and that he would look into it. I was a dumb ass for falling for that! The dealer had my car over night while working the TPMS. The next morning I got a call from the service rep who told me the technician had documented the damage on the wheel during the previous visit. They have time and date stamped photos of the damage wheel. He went on to explain how the technician followed company policy to perform a walk around inspection prior to performing maintenance on the car. I was in complete disbelief. I went immediately to the dealer. They showed me photos that had no such time and date stamp. The photos were of the specific wheel in question. Funny how they missed a huge white scrape on my race red paint....no picture of that. I look over the car and low and behold I find damage now on the left front wheel. Almost the exact same type of mark. No pictures of this damage. I later spoke to the owner. He asked why I would ever put aftermarket wheels on the car. He said it does more damage and said the wheels were cheap. Probably made in China! Mind you he is talking about the Alcoa Super Snake wheels that carry the Shelby stamp. Please take a look at the wheel. They say I curbed it. I assure you the car has never been curbed. All maintenance has been performed by this dealership.
  23. Wheel Center Cap Question

Does anyone out there have a solution to keep the SVT wheel caps stuck to the wheel? I just lost my second one today and I'm getting tired of them coming loose and disappearing. Would a couple of dabs of silicon keep them in place? Mark
  24. I just took delivery of my 2013 GT500, Grabber Blue/Whit Stripes. Everyone loves the car, but no one particularly likes the gunmetal gray wheels. Maybe with black stripes it would look better, but I prefer the white. I sold my 2010 GT500 to get this car, and I really miss the look of the 2010's Five Spoke wheel. It is bright in color, not blackened. I think this is a generational problem. Black wheels are the current fad amongst today's younger drivers. My generation grew up mostly on polished aluminum or chrome. I think Ford provides the blackened wheels with today's generation in mind, but reality is that there are probably more people closer to my age that are buying 2013 GT500's than there are folks in their 20's. So how about it Ford? Offer us graying guys an alternative wheel that shines. Bring back the bright colored five spoke. Look at the picture at the top of this site. Isn't that five spoke beautiful?
  25. My Dilemma: Silver or Black? I'm leaning more towards Silver...
